Yes since TE is on a long recast timer for non-seigan, and Shield blocks are good rate on anything with decent macro set for +skill. And as for blm being the best for that for people who manaburn yes, but it's still viable to kill it with DD and support.
Are you seriously telling me another DD is going to have when their hate was reset too, and they have amnesia as well, since it's AoE, cause I'd like to know how, unless they're going to melee some run away, and hope the VE enmity generated will be enough for hate after the reset. So another damage dealer gets hate and tanks it, omg? Shit doesn't even double attack iirc, it's not hard to tank.
A pld can swap to -pdt%, and shield skill gear when needed for when shadows drop, not to mention sentinel, rampart, and flash can all also help reducing damage taken largely, and sam normal -pdt% won't cut it for some TP moves, unless you're going to have them swap to a staff every time they ready it. Also for some moves pld w/o block even I've seen live thru moves commonly that one shot sam like shoulder charge.Blah, blah, blah. No shield block in shield skill gear = dead, good PDT set = alive.
While I am not sure how it's not the most "efficient" tank since it takes less support, and it's only one that can DD decently on mobs, and still have other strong hate tools. While rdm and nin can compare on hate tools, and sam can compare/beat as "DD tank", but pld is the only job that can do both, besides maybe relic drks, which is an in-valuable ability.PLD is usable in many situations, and often an efficient way to get things done, especially with subpar players as it requires very little to function. It is NOT the most efficient tank for 95% of what people use it for. While I'm sure there are other things that I'm not thinking of atm, I'd only say it's the best tank for PW and arguably AV.
Invalid or not due to flash aura up sometimes, or only one of the two plds meleeing at a time; however thorny said ANYTHING where you can idle in that gear, and atonement and pld can do it on that fight, so sam should be able to do it better, but it can't making his statement says sam will be better for it, which is utter bullshit.
Sam can tank most things with minimal support just like a pld can, depends on the calibre of your players. If there were harder fights that really tested the majority of established linkshells then yes you would have a point but ffxi is so easy when everything has been mapped out in great detail.
Fair enough, I'd consider that slightly selective interpretation because its not a standard fight and the majority of the actual time spent damaging the NM is with its aura up.
As for relic drks that really is a huge overestimation. For you to get any tanking benefit from Apoc you'd need to be meleeing and if you're meleeing you should be keeping hate anyway. Its not doing both in the same sense that pld is because in 1 scenario you are meleeing (i.e. don't need spells to keep hate) therefore getting benefit of WS haste and in the other scenario you aren't meleeing and would be better off with an E staff.
Low man as in Tiamat, Cerb and Khim when you don't have a lot of people around. I wasn't talking about Fafnir because any DD with /nin can easily tank it.
How can you think PLD/RDM is retard? With my gear and just a RDM support I take close to no damage when hit so I spam spells to keep hate. I don't atonement as much as PLD/NIN because I'm always casting and I just get TP from getting hit but I'm usually higher on hate then them anyway.
What HNM besides Faf/Nid can a SAM tank by using damage without getting destroyed by the TP moves anyway? Khim's stun and Cerbs multiple attacks would rip through them. Ixion.. well there is no way a SAM can do that. Maybe SW but then what do you do when you get in and it's KA or LW? I can see maybe Serket and Guivre. Probably a couple of ZNMs but a PLD can do that easily too so they can't really do it any better. So I'm having a hard time finding a HNM that SAM can tank better.
Cerb can EASILY be tanked by any /nin melee and can be tanked by sam/war.
Subbing /rdm and taking little to no damage is still not as good as doing more damage and taking even less damage, /rdm does work but its not as good as /nin. If a pld/rdm and pld/nin are both tanking a monster then yes the /rdm will have attention more often, but that doesn't really make any difference because the pld/nin will keep hate just fine on its own over the support mages who will never cap hate if you're doing your job right and the target is enfeebled.
SAM SAM BRD BRD RDM WHM can kill Sarameya, along with other variations of support as long as there\'s a BRD.
I don't have Askar or Zahak's yet (terrible luck :c ). What should I do for my ACP body for Dragoon?
mis coast fomors give fomor hate?
Do you know the POS btw?
I can't find any lol
Outside sacrarium or riverne.
They're at the Sacrarium entrance, or I killed those anyway.
I always killed the ones in meadows at G-6 and H-8, should be able to kill off more pops in one night than in coast.
awesome
Edit: g-6 camp has 4, h-8 camp has 3, and found another camp at f-7 that has 3, able to loop them like a triangle, getting 2 pops of each before 4:00, making for 20 in 1 night.
Ty for the tip
I think it does but I want to make sure. I'm at 260 skill (A-) for something and at level 74 the skill caps at 264, while at level 73 it caps at 259. The overall cap is at 269, if I get a skill up at level 260 from a DC does that mean I can last on DCs til 264? Or will it stop somewhere between 259 and 264?
Not so good at explaining, hope you get what I mean.
It should get you to 264
How much store tp+ does dragoon with Thalassocrat(/sam) for 6hit and true 6hit need besides rajas and brutal. Were 4 enough?
Outside Riverne is actually the best place for Fomor hate. There are two wandering fomors (Ranger and Red Mage) that pop together 5 minutes after the second one was killed. Then there is also the campfire consisting of 2-4(5?) Fomor, following the same spawn pattern as the RNG and RDM. You'll get best results if you don't move around, in my opinion.
