    Possessed keyboard

So I've been using my keyboard for about a year now and then suddenly the other day it just started typing on it's own... mostly 1s, 2s, and gs, as well as PageDn. I changed batteries, reset the receiver, and all was good.... for a while. Then it started happening again.

I noticed on the NumPad that occasionally adjacent keys would be pressed along with the intended key. What is odd is that there is no pattern to this. I can restart, unplug the receiver and all, set it back up and it works for a while, then goes haywire.

Now it randomly just won't be detected by the receiver. If there were consistency I'd know how to proceed, but it seems totally random and I can't constantly be afraid it might go ape-shit on me when I'm playing a game or typing on a forum.

It seems like maybe something was spilled and it's getting some weird crossed signal crap, but there have been no spills at all. I cleaned it out thoroughly soon after it started, but to no avail.

    ?

Really it's probably just old. I had a keyboard a few months back do the exact same thing to me, only when I was typing, it would insert randoms letters from the home row into everything. It was quite annoying actually. I cleaned it thoroughly to no avail as well. It's probably just cashed.
