Or low to mid 80's and supplements. Do not use the cheap supplements though, they literally do nothing.
I thought testing proved that in enchanting (+0->10) and manastone socketing:
Each additional stone level = +2% success rate (up to a maximum of 80%)
Lesser supplements = +5% success
Regular supplements = +10% success
Greater supplemenets = +15% success
I wouldn't say lesser supps do nothing, but I am posting this as something to think about before blindly pouring 15 mil into regular supps on a mid 80s stone, it might be more cost effective to just get a stone 3-5 levels higher and use lesser supps (~3.7m) depending on your server's economy.
I was talking to a game guide employee who's run over a thousand enchantment tests and said they're basically worthless in terms of being effective.
Can somebody explain the supplements to me? How many do you need for it to be affective? I got 30 greater fabled from the 50 energy box
http://forums.na.aiononline.com/na/s...ad.php?t=59894 a link to the test results I was talking about. It's supposedly based on 10k stones, so it seems pretty solid.
The amount of supplements needed for enchanting depends on the level of stone you are using. The supplement cost doubles if it is for an attempt past +10. Using a 61~70 stone is 55 supplements, 71~80 stone is 85 supplements, and 81~90 stone is 115 supplements. Can somebody explain the supplements to me? How many do you need for it to be affective? For manastone socketing, the cost depends on the level of manastone you are using, the grade of manastone (white vs green), the type of manastone (attack and crit require more supps than the rest), and the slot number you're trying to socket into (cost goes up depending on how many slots are already filled).
The amount of supplements needed will show up in the first confirmation box when attempting to enchant or socket, and you'll have the option to choose whether or not to use supplements.
halloween event has to be the most terrible thing ever... even for Asian mmo standards. Arena to for 10 items that that have a terrible terrible drop rate.. that you need to be 10x repeats to get to the next quest... at then 11 quests later (some of which are 10x repeats) to get the costume quest. w/e thought of this should be shot
Rangers are farrrr too much bullshit. 16s can go suck a dick, along with the whole "stun chance on every fucking attack thing." I keep fighting Rangers who sit in hide, sleep arrow, full buff, 3 shot. hide, sleep trap, full buff, 3 shot me. Rinse repeat.
Do I beat them? Sure. But its so stupid that I actually have to bust ass for kills every time I'm in arena when Rangers can hit 4 buttons and win 95% of the time, and have miniscule CDs on everything.
Rangers have pretty much always been bullshit in pvp. Most people (not all, so don't get your panties in a wad) play it for the same reason people used to play ranger in FFXI -- MAXPEWPEW
I really like ranger in pve. being able to blow ppl up in pvp in 3 seconds is just a bonus
I had someone rage at me yesterday in the arena because they saw me teaming up with legion mates.
The weird part was I didn't even really go for kills or even going after anybody. I was mostly just going for the relics and stuff.
On one hand I get why they were upset. On the other hand it was mostly just something for me to do at the end of the day and chill out with friends doing. The level of rage was rather amazing. I politely asked them as they were raging if they wanted to accomplish anything with their discussion or just vent, and that I was happy to listen in either event.
.. They promptly blocked me right after.
My guess is that they messaged me (I think I came in like..4th out of a 5 person FFA) instead of my legion mates because my name was the shortest.
Somebody was crying outrage on the forums about teaming and saying it should be a bannable offense. Nyx actually used me as an example of how it happens, but isn't quite that severe (I killed her a couple of times in a match, but she hit me first.)
Yeah.
While I can get that being teamed up on can get old after a bit, so can getting 3-shotted by rangers time and time again when you're new to PVP.
I have a friend who's a really really good ranger with really well thought out gear. He promised not to kill me. Then he killed me. He was in first place. And it was my birthday, lol. I usually do pretty well without resorting to teaming up on cleric and I usually place somewhere in the middle on chanter.
Yeah , normally I place maybe middle on chanter? I'm still learning PVP in that game, but I'm pretty bad at it. The controls just feel really weird to me. That's fine, honestly; I'm mainly playing it as something to do with a few friends.
Chanter isn't a great PVP class by any stretch. You can be pretty scary with the right gear, but based on abilities alone chanter doesn't do enough DPS or heal fast enough to be truly competitive. Takes a lot of effort to be an elite PVP chanter and my hat is off to anybody who puts in that work, but given my druthers I'd rather do it on a class that starts broken.
Yeah, I hear you on that one. I leveled chanter mostly for PvE stuff and because it seems like a class that's useful for my group to have.
But holy hell, I have seen some PvP chanters in the arena that are well geared. It's kind of frightening.
My whole mentality behind chanter is that it's not about me doing insane damage; it's about being that back up that makes me friends with the broken classes even more annoying.
I actually just switched to full DPS tree today because we haven't been running other instances. 900 more tokens and I can get my combine for my carved nanyu staff.
I doubt they is any intention to balance the ffa arena. It kinda is what it is
I just have 3 40e chain on my chanter, and I consistently come in bottom-ranked (8-10th), though I'm really not pvp-focused and use the buff stigma tree, so that might be part of it. Gonna save up my 30-35 tokens a run for a Lv2 staff, then I should have more fun :3 pondering whether to keep going for 40e, but with 3.0 coming out and the level cap going up to 60, I might start saving up for high-tier plat medal accessories.
I have no PvP gear on my sorc, and once I afked through the first two rounds and came in 5th thanks to not giving a shit and nuking everything that moves in the last round. Yeah. Sorc, everybody.
