I'd go T1 on most of my purchases, but I refuse to do so on my Trich's Nanyu Staff. I usually get in the 6-4th range on chanter depending on the group. I did find that I was placing much better when I switched to my Miragent's Staff which has a PVP combine. As long as I'm not getting gang raped (like today) I'm having a fun enough time.

Double tickets is nice, but paying 3m per magic resist stone because of the sudden influx of eternal pvp gear that everyone and their mother wants to run full MR in isn't

Oh well, good thing I have enough courage insigs to purchase a full set of L2 armor for the purpose of reskinning over my existing armor already, just need to catch up on EC insignia.

A lot of people at NC Soft West have beef with Korea because Korea doesn't give a shit about us as a market. So they didn't tell Korea initially about the fact we were getting double tickets but somebody spoiled the party. They were going to do an event that gave us a box of extra tickets and tell Korea later, but somebody at West spoiled that party, too. So they tried to ninja this in with a patch without any quality testing which didn't fly very far. So yeah.

I also just spent a fortune slotting my staff, but at least it's done.

The CM team was pretty livid at the idea they would drop the patch without making sure that it didn't break anything and managed to delay it some.

More people will be doing more of this. Which is not really a good thing. I already play in non full games during primetime. By cutting the ticket numbers in half, we will see more and more 6-8 person games and longer queue times. This is a bad thing for the game overall. Id rather have seen a slashing of the marks per game and left the tickets the same.

I already know a few people that will cut their Chaos participation down and go 1v1 because they have a better chance of coming out of a 1v1 with more marks. They did Chaos because it was entertaining, but now that they have to choose advancement over fun, they will end up choosing advancement.

NA and EU server populations are down, and they will continue to dip as we move into the holidays with WoW content patches and the release of SWTOR. The last thing we need is for Korea to force lower participation in one of the aspects of their game that players login specifically to do everyday.

I disagree about 1 v 1 being a better payout than chaos. If you are able to consistently win the 1 v 1, then you should be able to make top 3-4 chaos consistently for equal or better payout. If you aren't able to reliably win the 1 v 1 arena, even a dead last finish in chaos will pay roughly the same, and you can still place well even if horribly undergeared with good strategy (hint: PvE). My ranger that is 52 in terrible gear (blue bow, random pve blues/gold armor/accs) places top 3 the vast majority of the time, and I even won a match last night. I know if I took that ranger into the 1 v 1 arena, I'd get curbstomped by just about everybody who doesn't afk it.
