I ended up getting it done eventually, after getting some help training to the instance entrance. The fact that NC took an already horrible design flaw and made it even worse just shows how out of touch they are with their playerbase and certainly baffles me. Surely the korean playerbase couldn't have liked the fact that they blew their 1 time teleport in the past by mistake, then NC makes a completely useless change that gives even more possibility to screw up and lose your tele.

They WILL reset your tele for the quest. A legionmate has had it reset 3 times because everytime they'd get in the healer or tank would bail on them and they couldn't finish.

That being said, there is a reason why people used to have level 20ish SM alts parked at the gate, giving summons for a price.

So this Pando crap is cutting my already crappy download speed down to 1/4 of what it was without it. now I'm only downloading at 20-30 KBps. It's going to take forever to download this patch. Remind me why they chose Pando again? <,<

You can force close the pando client while downloading using your task manager.

except, unfortunately, everytime I close pando while downloading it either just restarts right away automatically, or the launcher gives me an error and forces me to repair, then restarts pando and continues where it left off :/

LOTRO also uses Pando. You can uninstall it after your download is finished with that game. Doesn't help you now i know but i never had slower download speeds with it.

Decided to start downloading the patch. Every time I open the launcher, it freezes. My wife also got a corrupted patch. New items don't show for her, and random crashes. You get what you pay for, I guess.......

One thing that is really annoying in 3.0 is that ranger's sleep trap skill does not level up like other traps. The summoned trap remains level 52, making it functionally useless at 60 due to level difference penalties causing it to resist basically every time. It's bad enough sleep arrow rarely landed in pvp due to everyone having high base MR from arena/abg gear to begin with, but now sleep trap is taken away too which actually was reliable before 3.0.

Also, duoing with a cleric i find my entangling shot debuff takes priority over the new cleric dps skill that is a slow + DoT effect lol.

Why the fuck does it cost 10 euros for a character change on Aion EU and 3 euros on Aion NA. Along with the shitty restrictions and the terribad website layout and the fact that 3.0, collectors edition items and veteran rewards are still not available.
The fuck Gameforge? What puzzles me more is that there are EU players who are laughing at NA being 'pay to win' and saying it's shit.

Not really sure how the NA model is any more pay to win than EU. NA has items like penguin candies, instance scrolls, etc. that can be traded from the shop, while EU has their gold pack that is needed to make that version of the game actually playable that can be traded.

The character change items used to be $10 USD for plastic surgery and $15 USD for gender change until the switch to the f2p model for NA, then they got lowered to $4 USD each.

Ugh, I hate this about MMOs in general... Someone on Tiamat claims to have made 5 airspikes thus far, with one proc being sold for 800mil (there are some screenshots of this), but of course, nobody will say where they're getting them -- people are reporting 1-5 actually dropping from the seasonal agrints, which have spawned... twice. One group has gotten 50 life leaves? Sigh.

For the most part I enjoy 3.0, but the new sieges not so much. The fact there is such a large discrepancy in siege reward for the top 24 (mithril medal) vs 25th-80th (plat medal) is bullshit. It's been shown that it takes roughly 6-7 plat medals to get 1 mithril medal on average from the good coin fountain. It is ridiculous that I basically have to say screw you to all my friends who don't play a high dps class in order to have a reasonable chance at getting a mithril from the siege, and a plat is hardly worth the effort to attend the siege when you no longer need them.

it's not mmo's in general, its Aion. Aion has one of the shittiest communities I have seen in a mmo.
