Normally I would agree with this, but for the Solarious patch was basically a unannounced Korean 1.6 update, and their twiki page only was updated after people sign in, then reporting pets were flying.

Not enough history to say if that was a one-off event. First time playing a NCSoft game, no clue how they usually handle updates and annoucements, but I was hoping they be more upfront about their plans and changes then what SE with FFXI has done over the past 7 years.

In Lineage 2 they were very upfront about an update taking place and what it would contain. Hopefully they do the same here.

So since the Elyos on my server refuse to enter the Abyss, i decided to make an alt ranger to rift and have some fun on. The irony here is that i cannot move 5 feet in Elten without being surrounded by a dozen lev 50's ready to pounce on me. Hell, they even camp the rifts. I'm of the you win some you lose some mentality, i just find it kinda funny.

This. It seems like you can't even take the time to play with character customization without being booted off and having to start all over again. I generally get booted after about 5 minutes or so of being on the character creation screen.

I think I found a work around for this - it seems that you won't get DCed if you create a character first before logging in with an existing character. If you login with a character, then logout from that character and create a new one, you'll get DCed after 5 minutes.

At least that was my experience last night, and it was consistent for me.

if you're wanting PvP, sit outside hoarfrost for 10 minutes.

elyos always set up kisks on a mountain to the west, then run around the entrance to bakarma, chaos brambles, and outside hoarfrost.

sometimes you run into 40s doing xenophon's, sometimes you run into an alliance doing DC attunement, and if you're lucky, sometimes you run into a high-rank sorc who thinks their DP move lets them solo dark poeta groups.
