I ended up farming balaur in the core (hard now obviously) and on the sword island on level 30 characters, selling the drops, and using those to buy the angel's eyes when I got my breastplate forever ago. Those level 30ish materials sell for a lot and drop often.

I farmed maybe 100 of the 2000 coins, and crafted to pay for the rest. Though I got my coins cheap as shit, crafting was still the way to go.

i've been buying coins off the broker with whatever money i get, as i said in my previous post. i extract greens for enchantment stones, sell whites/gray items to npc vendors. with the money i first open my stockpile of demon eyes and with whats left over, i go to the broker and buy all the coins that are 10-12k each.

its just ridiculous on how many coins are needed. maybe one day nc soft will wise up and lose the amount needed for future players who wish to get the gear.

on a side note: im also 1/2 way done collecting my ap for the 30 elite bow to combine with the coin bow. dredg is boring when all you can do is afk it til you get a group worse than yours that lets you get a win.

yesterdays dredg i had 2 cleric, 2 chanter, 2 ranger and the elyos gave up after their 2nd attempt to pvp against us. why would they go for the rangers first? i had 4 healers spamming on me the entire time and never died. evasion tanking first mate is one hell of a ride with 3 elyos on your ass.

With coins at 10k\e (That's the only price I'd buy at) 10m for the armor isn't awful considering how good it is. The body pieces at least seem worth that, because on zikel there's a Zap's breastplate up for 16m, surkana shoulders for 9m, etc. Those two pieces are slightly better overall, but the plat coin stuff is 46 as well (and extremely viable at 50 as well, having only marginally less stats than their 50 counterparts.)

Weapons though... yeah, those should be dropped to 1000 coins each. 2000 coins would only be viable to me at 5k\e per coin.

do you think its worth it to get the pants too? im definately gonna get the bow and leather body but am unsure about legs. currently im using the blue anuhart leather leggings. not sure if farming up another 1k coins is worth a tiny amount of extra stats and 1 more manastone slot.

No I wouldn't go for the legs, blue anuhart is pretty decent to hold you over until you get something better. I would only do the plat coin legs if I had no flight speed (debating doing body for my sorc for that reason, uncapped flight speed really sucks and I have the money)

Capped flight speed is sick. I have more than once gotten away from an asmo rape squad of 6 or more because of that.

Personally, I only think the body and weapon are worth it unless you have a shitload of disposable income.

Pretty much this. I'm also of the camp the coin costs should be reduced by at least half. Consider 2.0 and later, potentially easier gear to acquire even though it's higher level, will pretty much overshadow the "need" to grind for these if other options aren't available. Pre-drop nerf, I was doing coin quests at 50 just for some lazy income since solo grinding balaur wasn't really an option for me as both a Gladiator and Kaisinel being Asmo dominated.

After merges.. New Israphel pretty much became Elyos dominated so asmos started losing morale and I heard a lot of them are moving to Vaizel =(

I know.. I have no luck with that either. Our SM extracted his Zapiel's Tunic and got 2 x 86 >.>. He also extracted Xenophon's and got 1 80.

I don't see why you're complaining, that's at minimum 3m off each of those (on Siel at least)
