I love how linear automatically means suck. Some of the best games are linear. Too many games these days get royally fucked over in the name of an 'open world'.

This.. I'll take a fun linear RPG with a strong story and characters that I'll actually remember over a throw-away generic open world RPG. Getting a bit tired of the so-called "western" style of making a giant sandbox world filled with boring quests and expecting the player to amuse themselves in it.
