haha
I feel like I saw that first one of Seno's pics somewhere... ohya like 3 pages back. </3
nice DP, max
This. I really disliked FFXII for this reason. There were all of these sidequest things that I would've done (hunts?), but it seemed pointless. The story was bland and it felt like work to play. I would rather have a rather linear story that I can really get into than a really open game. There has to be a good balance.
Triple post won't save you from ROOSTER DEATTTTTH!
Wat? Elphaba was a mod?
edit: nevermind
i think elphaba was, or she was some sort of pseudo-mod type thing (only modded over specific topics mayhaps?)
dunno, but that whole topic was hilarious
I don't care if it's a year old and a repost. Funny is funny.
Spoiler: show

Happy birthday to everyone today, because it's my bday as well!
FFXII? Western style? Generic Open World? Sidequests? What?This.. I'll take a fun linear RPG with a strong story and characters that I'll actually remember over a throw-away generic open world RPG. Getting a bit tired of the so-called "western" style of making a giant sandbox world filled with boring quests and expecting the player to amuse themselves in it.
I don't think Kerberoz was talking about FFXII-ish games as almost nothing describes FFXII itself in that post. Hunts have absolutely no resemblance of Western-Style RPG sidequests. They are basically Monster Arena/Dark Aeon's of FFX, and optional bosses of the rest.
FFXII wasn't an open game, it was just as linear as any other JRPGs.
if anyone has spare time I would love to see some shoops of this
