    If the smaller meteorites and the large one are going at the same speed when they enter the atmosphere, the air resistance due to the size of the large meteor will slow it down.. the force of gravity is constant on all objects no matter size or weight so that speed will only increase for smaller objects while larger ones will slow down
    While true in theory, I'm pretty sure the rocks would be flying pretty fucking fast, and the gigantic rock is OMFUGINGODBIG and doesn't afraid of wind resistance so much.

    Or, you know, it's fake and CGI and the artist made it at his/her discretion with attention to dramatic effect rather than the reality of physics. If you wanna talk physics, it's going to slow to be begin with. It would move beyond discernible speeds and make impact almost immediately after passing through the atmosphere.
