Stolen: Asheress[Ifrit > Remora]

A very close friend in game was hacked sometime yesterday and has been since moved to Remora server. Using POL friend search we were able to see the character was moved already.

The name is/was Asheress, mithra model with brown/orange face. Most notable gear would be Morrigan's robe. Has THF, BLM, WAR, NIN, COR 75.

If you see this character or one that resembles this suddenly show up, you should use caution interacting with them. That being said, I surely hope no one would let a stolen account into their linkshell.

I understand about 95% of BG doesn't care bout this, but it was a really good friend and a great person this happened to -- really didn't deserve it >.<

I hope your friend gets his account back I knew two people on Uni that incrementally got hacked themselves. So really hope for the best. Make sure he goes for a rollback.

Wasn't expecting sympathy really, just wanted to let people know if Ash's char turned up somewhere they shouldn't treat that person as a welcome addition. I know Ash used firefox/etc, and he's sure as hell smart enough not to visit one of those sites from fake GMs asking to file complaints or whatever. The whole situation just sucks.

Oh, already got it back. talked to SE few days after got hacked, verified ID in 15mins logged on Ash over in Remora and made GM call and submitted my rollback form. We'll see how it goes, takes awhile for it to process but should be back good as new by end of the month latest.

Firefox, Noscript/adblock; No visiting those stupid fake GM sites. Have no idea how it got hacked haha, maybe had to do with me not changing my pass in the last 4 years I mean they finally had to get it right someday lol.

If you find out that the person who hacked him/her was from america, bring in the legal system. You will find that the US's stance on hacking being a form of "Cyber Terrorism" can be very fun. Huge legal fine of over 10k and or prison time. At least in Texas it is.
