    Windows 7 + Windower/FFXI

    Moved from Random question thread.

Weird problems ever since Windows 7..

Been playing fine for awhile, then booted up one morning and got this screen, spoilered for hugeness

Current resolution for windower was 1650x950
    changed to 1600x900
then it loaded up and worked, so //terminated
and changed it back to 1650x950 and it booted up..

Now its getting to that screen again
and won't load no matter what I do.

This is the driver i'm using
    http://www.bluegartr.com/forum/82872...-software.html

    Specs
    Windows 7 Build 7600
    4gigs ram
    Nvidia 8800GT

Like I said, the game has been running flawlessly for 2 days or so, and this morning it just went like this.

    Any ideas?

Only thing that seems wrong at first glance it that you're changing to a non-standard aspect ratio/resolution. Why are you attempting to run at 1650x950? Try and keep your resolution set at multiples of 16x10 (most monitors) or 16x9 (most HDTVs).

    I have a 22' monitor
    its 1680x1050

I don't like playing in full screen mode

so I set it to 1650x950

EDIT: And yeah changing it didn't work.

This is going to sound stupid, but believe me, it will work.

Launch Internet Explorer first. Doesn't matter what wepage it sits on. Then launch FFXI. It will work.

It makes no fucking sense, but it works.

This happened to me recently too. I don't understand it.
