DS Lite "backups"?

My girlfriend has a DS Lite and she wants to buy all these little games for it, but I keep telling her that it's a waste to buy games where you pretend to cook, or clean a dog, or play with a cat, etc.

Anyway, is there a way to mod the DS Lite to play downloaded games? I did a Google search but I keep coming up with old articles from years ago, and no solid step-by-step tutorial on what's needed (both hardware/software). Anyone have any personal experience with this or know a good general game modding site?

Hehe, that made me chuckle. Do not underestimate their interest in these types of games. Men may not like it, but girls dig it. My family all love it (sister x2, mum, dad). There's a reason why on adverts they use girls to play these games. It's because they do. They don't want to play games where it's killing people or saving the world, etc. So these types of games, the Cooking Mama one especially (we had to BUY that), entertains them a lot because it requires some sort of ... activity.

But on a side note, I just picked up an AceKard, since my R4 [clone] doesn't play the new Mario RPG very easily. Outdated firmware, and I'm not even sure if my R4 is legit or a clone.

I have a legit R4, sorry to hear it's not playing some games well. =( I don't want to have to upgrade hehe.

I have a real R4, it'll play all modern games great, you just have to use ysmenu. It's a bit complex to setup, but once you have it running, it's awesome.
