3 pages late, but eat a dick. People transfer servers because they were exiled from their previous server, for being cunts to begin with. No one with friends on their present server would change off.

1. Friends can transfer together.
2. You can talk to people on the internet. Shocking I know. Even while not on the same server, or playing the same game.
3. Anyone who quits FFXI does it because they were exiled, and had no friends, clearly.
4. Does the same logic apply to leaving a linkshell? If you leave a linkshell, it means you were exiled, and had no friends there?
5. RL analogy I know, but does the same logic apply to college? The only reason people leave their hometown between HS and college is because they were all exiled, and if they had any real friends, they'd all stay and go to college together.


Seriously, it's possible to be unhappy with a shell and server. I was unhappy with my shell on Midgard, and I saw no other shells I wanted to join. My options were to try to make my own (which maybe would have been cool to have a lowman shell with a few cool people, but didn't seem too realistic to me, as I knew no people wanting to drop their shell) or to transfer. I had friends that I didn't want to leave, and that begged me to stay, but really, the point of playing this game is to have fun, and I wasn't having much fun on that server anymore.

There are background checks for a reason. When someone is "Exiled from a server", it usually comes out there. I'll admit, I'm most definitely an elitist asshole, and I'm fucking mean to morons that do stupid things, so I'm not gonna say everyone on the server liked me, but you fall into that group of people I'm mean to.

Nidhogg, Odin, Tiamat, they're the same on all 30 servers. Your E.Body has the same stats, on every server. Your nukes get calculated the same way on every server. Every server balances out with the same players: you have the good ones, you have the bad ones, you have the ones who play 1 hour a day.


I can tell you right now, everyone who has server transfered to my server was a bunch of rejects. Judging by Izzy's posts here, it seems the same holds true for his server.

- we claim more than you because our bot is better
- your aegis PLD dies more than our aegis PLD
- we can pay our members more money because we are better at botting

Every reply I read makes me realize how much I love Finale, and similar linkshells.
No, we might not claim any kings, nor do we even bother to camp or bot, and when I look at most of the people posting in this thread, I'm glad we deal with other linkshells in a respectful manner.
We have no beef with either Haze or Volume, and I'd like to keep it that way.

We'll continue spitting out relics, awarding members, and give them a place they can call a drama-free home.

Stop fucking talking. Not everyone has the uncanny ability to lose every friend they made. When I left siren, I left behind alot of friends (ask pretty much anyone from that server who posts on these board). I left lakshmi because there was nothing left (closest in game friend was gone), and at the time of me quitting/getting banned I was on Quetz.
