    Sucks that it always ends up coming to this. The problem is none of us want to leave the island. Believe it or not, outside of tourist towns, there aren't too many Puerto Ricans that like America.

    It's not really surprising that the US does not pay attention to its colony. For starters, the US (the people) rarely pay attention to whatever goes on outside of the US. Not to mention even in Congress there is no specific body pertaining to issues relevant to the island. It is likely that no real attention will be payed until something blows up.
