I think in the macro setup you'll need something like
    key '2' down
    key '2' up
    key 'l alt' down
    key '2' down
    key '2' up
    key 'l alt' up

with some small delays sprinkled in, assuming ferocious strike is on 2 and rage is on alt2.

I play on my laptop. PC's water pump messed up. Growing to like the laptop better tho. D:

I love this setup. Easy to do things on the fly.

So I went through my keyboard collection (I'm a keyboard geek, and thats only part of my collection) in search for the right board. I found my favorite boards for typing were too light for long hours of gameplay as my hands would get lazy and rest on the keys and I'd end up with lots of accidental presses. Tried some boards with heavier key switches in them, but those just make too much noise for late night playing. I also didn't like having to reach across my keyboard for skills.

So, I figured I'd give gamepads a try.

I picked up a G13, n52te, and an original n52. As a keyboard geek who is very picky with keyswitches, all of them felt like shit. The n52te had the best feel to it with the n52 being the worst, but the d-pad on the n52te and n52 were pretty hard to use. They required too much force, so you would have to grip the pad with your pinky to keep the pad from sliding off your desk. The joystick on the G13, on the other hand smooth and easy to use, which outweighs the fact that its not as comfortable as the n52te.

In the end, I settled on this setup:

    http://img382.imageshack.us/img382/1...cture001oo.jpg

    Connected to my Aion comp:
Realforce 87U keyboard (the black one on the desk)
Happy Hacking Keyboard Professional 2 (the little one on the tray)
    G13 gamepad
    G9 mouse
    Audio Technica ATH-AD700 headphones
Yay someone else with the same cans i have. I have had the AD700's for a couple years now, and I love them.

Mousewise I use the Razer Death Adder. I also have a Astro Gaming Mixamp, but have yet to bother using it for this, as it mainly for my console. I use a $6 clip on mic that I mount/unmount on my headphones. I have been told in Vent that it sounds pretty effing nice for a $6 clip on. Don't recall the brand/type just now though.

The only thing I might be missing with it is programmable keys like the G11/G15 but the buckling springs are just too good.

G15, love it to death, but still think no keyboard should cost as much as a decent graphics card.

Also love it, but wishing more and more I had a Naga like my friend, thinking of upgrading for the numbers on the thumb rest and just use my left hand for Ctrl+Alt+movement.

Yeah, I actually play with a pen tablet. It works the same as a mouse only I like the fact I can just point instead of having to click and drag endlessly.

    I've started playing in beginning of October but I've grown attached to this setup;

Suprisingly, the N52TE is perfect for this game as I was accustomed to a controller on FFXi and I still am.

I bought the G13 for Aion but im having a hard time setting it up. I keybind everything according to my action bar in game, it will work for 1 round and then it will use the abilites in the action bar above the one i keybinded and the mouse will stop responding. Any ideas wth is wrong or info on how G13 users set theirs up?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I use the dpad to move, but had to disable the diagonals. I'm also still trying to find some gripy tape like stuff to put on top of the stick part. Why they made it convex top and a slick plastic is beyond me.

Thing is a godsend for Templars, I set a very useful Inescapable Judgment macro on the D-pad, all I have to do is tug to the right on it towards any enemy and bam right in front of your damn face. It's also very useful for flight controls, I set up and down as Rise and Fall, and man it has made combat so much easier in the air. Just some ideas to throw around, as for chain skills, I set the numbers 06 and 11 as CTRL and ALT to hold down and surrounding numbers for the more useful skills I would be using.

GD, the Naga. How comfortable is that thing? It looks so silly. I just can't imagine being able to hit a specific one of those 12 side keys. Sounds like you have used your friends however... and it is ok?

    Here is my friend(A ranger):

The buttons are surprisingly easy to work with and the training needed to work with them is very little. If you basically use muscle memory to remember your keys, the keypad will be simple for you to pick up. It is very comfortable and helps someone like me (not an experienced MMO player) get the hang of kiting around mobs and retain mobility while being able to use all of the number keys.

Yeah I was ok with my plain keyboard and mouse, but after looking through this thread I am really tempted to buy myself a naga.

Well my own personal thoughts are, overall the buttons on the side seem useful, however the two normal buttons on the sides get pushed up to the tip of the mouse button side, and become VERY hard to click unless you have a lot of finger dexterity. (that's what she said joke goes here.) I like the third finger rest on the right side of the Naga, and the pictures of it make it look like a normal Razer with a tumor but it actually doesn't feel like a ball, as the pictures made it look.

I'm an SM so I don't have to deal with speed chains rangers and sins deal with, but even for DoT rotations I could see it being useful. Also, I could see it useful for playing with one hand and fapping to porn on your other screen with the other hand. (Woot lefty's)

Off Topic, Falisa: could you update the BG player/legion list? Hoping to get more applicants for our legion, we need to grow.

It would be nice to have more keys that I could press easily. I can see the need to switch between different songs during some PvP battles at higher level but I have too much stuff to take up all of the 1-5 on all 3 bars and not enough room for easy hit potions or mantras. It would be nice to put that all on the buttons on the naga :O

As for the list, I update that during my lunch, but I have been busy at work even during lunch lately. I'll try and get it updated today
