hmm have you also tried unplugging all unnecessary hardware parts too? video card, spare hard drives. I just reinstalled yesterday and while I had an IDE harddrive plugged in and trying to install on my SATA, it would create errors and hang the install.

I only have 1 hard drive and I wouldnt be able to install without the video card plugged in since I dont have onboard crap. Even went as far as to using different ram. To be honest though, I get this feeling my issue is the hard drive. Its really weird, sometimes it would get through the "Expanding Files" portion but when it restarts it'll freeze on "Completing Installation". By freezing I dont mean its taking a long time on one part I mean its actually frozen (animated dots dont move/cant move mouse).

Did you burn your disk on the slowest speed possible and verify the data afterwords? Just trying to eliminate some variables here. Also, try installing in low-rez mode if you can't eject yo vid-card.

I kept running into this issue when working on a fresh install for my bro. Had a list of programs lined up to install, and nearly all were non-responsive. I basically gave up and went back to XP Pro. I'm sure its very cpu stable and very efficient, but its too Vista like for me still in terms of functionailty and all that crap.

You have no fucking idea what you're talking about. Just stop. You're pretty much wrong in everything you've posted on the subject. Quit trying to be "the trendy guy."

Hi, my name is fucking moron and I've never used a real operating system before. Feel free to put Windows 3.11 on my computer so I can use my 4MB of EDO-RAM in peace!

For me I know Reason works fine with Windows 7 but ProTools does not (yet). Out of the dozens of programs I have installed, ProTools is the *only* one that is incompatible. For that, I use Windows XP.

Question. I order the 32 bit version but my PC is capable of doing 64 bit...is it possible to exchange 32 to 64 from Microsoft site?
oh and what is needed to run 64 bit? More RAM? My PC running on 3GB of RAM atm.

    1. Not possible to my knowledge.
    2. 4+ GB memory to see an actual difference, you can use less if you wish.

So, I just installed Win 7 x64 Pro using boot camp, and I'm having one major problem. I don't have my copy of Leopard, and the one driver pack I downloaded won't run, even as administrator. Anyone have this problem?

Sorry for late reply. I didnt burn these disk, they're retail copies for 32/64bit that I got through MS contest. I'll try the low-res option though. :X

I had previously ordered the 32 bit, but had sent them an email asking to cancel that order. I'm running on the 64 bit now. The one thing they mentioned when I contacted them, was that they could not cancel orders After Oct 22. So yeah your stuck.
