anyone played this yet? looks very nice, but haven't seen enough of the actual gameplay to warrant purchasing it yet. and I'm not done with eternal sonata either, hard to buy a new rpg when I'm still working on another.

Wasn't crazy about the first Magna Carta, but the art was nice, and still is...but that's not a real selling point unless the game is actually good...
They came out with a second one? Good lord.
I did not enjoy the first one at all, but I'll still have to take a glance at previews for the second.
The first one as aiight from what I played of it but tbh the artwork/book was half of the game value which didnt leave as much as one would like for gameplay/story.
I completely missed the boat on the first one, but assumed there was a '1' in the series.
I thought the first one was awesome. The storyline was fucking great. 360 GET
Picked this game up along with Uncharted 2 on Tuesday and was wondering if anyone else did the same as well.
Aside from the voice acting (which has some of the same cast as Star Ocean: A New Hope lol...) it is a pretty solid JRPG. The battle system is a conglomerate of other RPGs combining action/reaction commands/upgrade features and combines that with a lot of little side quests that help out quite a bit.
Honestly I blew through Uncharted in a day, then put this in and been playing it ever since. Even though it does rip off a lot of ideas from other RPGs, it does combine them into a decent experience for the RPG faithful. The best part was that it totally flew in under the radar and I just bought it out of curiosity and was pleasantly surprised. So far for me it was worth the price and would recommend to try it out.
How is the story? I could care less about the battle system if the story sucks (Star Ocean hello)
All Atlus games have a superb story. Magna Carta's was fucking awesome, the BS is what a few people had beef with and I will give them that, but the story made it 100% worth while.
The story is decent so far I guess, it took awhile to get going. I'm only about 20 hours into the game. Still on the first disc (of two discs), so I can't really comment about it as a whole yet, but so far it is pretty generic.
Didn't get a chance to play the first one but remember looking at the pretty awesome artwork. From what people tell me though I get the impression it uses a lot of fan service to help players finish the game.
if you have a jp xbl silver act they got a demo up for those unsure about battle system etc just look up what to do in the tutorial
Generic story....sounds like every other 360 JRPG on the market....FF 13 can't come soon enough.
Juto is voiced by the guy that does the dub VA of ichigo and ledouche(lelouche, spelling etc), just wanted to get that out of here because I knew he sounded familiar.
He's probably done voices in more than you know:

I have the game, but I have yet to play it.
There's already DLC for the game (though to be fair it's been out in Japan for a while I think) which gives new achievements, 2 weapons for each character, and some extra cutscenes. The weapons you get are the strongest in the game, and you get them automatically close to the beginning of the game. At least it's only 400 MSP here compared to the almost 2000 in Japan.
any more user reviews or comments on this one? scored pretty well in the new lolGameInformer.
