I finished it around the time most people did pre-nerf. What makes you think it took me over a year to complete it? Ignorance?
Edit: Oh and I forgot. I like your classic "If I can do it, so can everyone else, because everyone is the same boat" attitude. I'm not speaking for myself when I say getting people to do missions they've done or finding people on or within a specific mission range is tedious and difficult. Also, you mentioned that you had the entire time to sit on your ass and shout for people. What about those who don't have that luxury? They're in an even more difficult situation than the one you faced.
Haha, yeah I've recently checked them out as well..climbing is so much easier than before. Zone feels...empty.
"Ok guys this is the last floor, I'm gonna train everything just follow me!". Good times..
This is a good idea, EXP reward was a step in the right direction but certainly not enough. This isn't only a CoP issue, its also "seems" to be quite difficult to find people for Nyzul climb. It was a breeze for me when I climbed it back in the "day", but just last week there was a guy shouting for 81+ the -entire day-. He shouted for hours and I am not even sure if he was able to gather a group together in the end.Helping people on missions today? Sure, my problem is when people just decide to forklift all the work on one person and expect to coast to victory. I guess SE should award personal treasure chests to people repeating missions for others as more incentive to win battles again, along with the EXP.
I believe SE mentioned something about making Nyzul mid-floors rewarding for people. Hopefully they'll implement that update soon.
I blame the Emptiness.</incredibly lazy pun>Zone feels...empty.
You've never had a few days off in your life before, bro? Oh, ok.
Could you stop being ignorant and read what's written without assuming it applies to me? I can't believe it's so difficult for you to grasp this basic concept that suggests not everyone is in the same situation as you. Not everyone spends their days off doing CoP. Not everyone who does do that is lucky enough to find the people they need to be able to complete it within a short time. Some people for one reason or another surprisingly have difference experiences than you.
Last time I camped KA, there were 50+ ppl also camping, there are now 4 different limbus ls's at running at the same time slot as mine, (gl getting an apollyon zone), I barely ever go to an hnm camp, but I doubt they ever spawn yellow either, even lesser kings for that matter. Bird camp almost always has 2 parties, east ronafure [s] always has 2-3 parties in the zone. Lesser colibri and normal colibri in wajoam and thickets are also heavily camped. There are at least a dozen other high level leathercrafters competing for the same niche as me. Dynamis xarcabard is mostly unavailable. I can never solo aura statues in sky for exp since top floor is always camped. Sky and sea trigger (Ix'aern drk and drg specifically) nm's are more often than not unavailable. Hell, there's usually a wait to kill genbu even.
Ok, I admit most of this is due to the fact that I can only play during peak hours yet I still think the server needs to be split, not merged.
I'm fairly sure there's more than four "wait 24 hours" type waits in CoP; but I could also but wrong, and I don't care enough to look it up. Though really, my thought isn't so much "you're full of shit", but "how the fuck did you do that and stay sane?"
edit - I suppose you could also time your runs to cut said waits to a minimum, but god-damn that would take some insane planning and rely on everything going to plan.
How dare you make my pathetic, petty, misanthropic buddies quit the game by existing! You god damn casuals, it's almost like you think you're playing a game or some shit.
Also, I beat COP pre-nerf, including hyper shitty release day no-nerf Promyvion. What a terribly designed expansion, I don't understand the pre-nerf hard on for it at all. The only reason I got it done was because I was in high school and didn't have a job.
Needz moar drama
Promies actually were easier to climb with a party of 6 people because less chance of failure of people DCing or being retarded and aggroing mobs. Back then the mobs were stronger and at least 3x as much wandering. Not to mention the 10 second portal. Also everytime I would try to make a party layout with an alliance people of the other alliance would convince them to eventually switch as it was for the greater good and i was like no fuck that I made this pt find your own jobs <,<
Team I used for promies pre nerf was, WAR/NIN x2, WHM/BLM, BLM/WHM RNG/NINx2. Elemental Seal slow orders does wonders when people know what they're doing and realize how good it actually is.
This is what I was referring to in my post (quoted about 3 posts up) when I said the first nerf was almost immediately after CoP release. I appreciate the backup testimony ^^
You cleared out the spawns first then the 2 RNGs would be able to take care of them as they popped. The blm puts bio on the MR and assists the RNGs as needed. Worked fine with people that knew what they were doing. They're were lots of close calls and if aggroed you'd wipe. Lots of people that I knew went up in only groups of 6 (at least only the people I knew) shout groups were really the only people that couldn't do it because they'd again aggro everything, not listen to the strategy, or just be inaddequately geared/fooded.
edit: strays didn't spawn faster iirc they just had a lot more hp so you had to be more organized on how you took them down. It would appear they'd spawn faster because since one took longer to kill the other one would spawn when its up.
