just for the record, the guy did not deny them a marriage license, he just refused to perform the ceremony/officiate the wedding. He has the right to refuse that for any reason at all. My wife and I were turned down by her parent's priest because he would not perform an outdoor ceremony. People get turned down all the time for any number of reasons (religious and financial being the most common and obvious). This guy in no way impeded their ability to get married nor did he trample upon their rights. There is more racism in the fact that this IS a story than in the story itself.
