How does it feel to be the most watched human being on Comedy Central?

Insulting. I assume you're referring to the fact that I'm losing to cartoons. I have now passed Futurama, so the only thing ahead of me is South Park, and being second to South Park is quite O.K. with me.

What is the most ridiculous thing you've done on your show to date?

Renegotiate my contract for more money.

That's in the eye of the beholder. Showing the audience "2 Girls 1 Cup" is right there at the top. Believe it or not, the audience actually enjoyed it. [Pause.] No, I think some people got sick.

How often do you reject videos because they're just too gross?

Never for being too gross, but I would say probably 95% of videos that the writers throw out to the room, we say no to. A lot of times because they're fake or they were trying to be funny or they're too mean-spirited.

What is your parents' reaction to watching Tosh.0?

My mother calls me immediately after the East Coast feed to let me know which jokes she needs me to walk her through. They have to prepare themselves for what people will say to them for the following week. My mom doesn't like me referencing sex or pornography, and my father doesn't like me poking fun at religion, but they get the fact that I've got to make fun of everything.

Just came back from Tosh Tour 2010 at UMass. Holy shit he killed it, lot of new material and loved all of it. One or two tweaked jokes from his Comedy Central special but I expected one or two. I can understand if people don't like the show because it is incredibly offensive to just about everyone, but shock comedy is my favorite. He's great with hecklers too. He was plugging season 3 of Tosh.0 and apparently has a new DVD coming out soon which I forget the name of (Happy..something), but told everyone in the audience to download it for free off the internet because he gets paid way too much as it is.

Had 2 comedians as openers that apparently have been on Comedy Central but I had never heard of them, they were pretty good though.

I actually enjoyed it. lol...it was like sitting in the living room with my old roommate who was a standup comedian, he'd do his routine and we'd just blurt out random shit to fuck with him and he ended up using a lot of it. Seemed like all the people were really having fun. Love Chris Hardwick's standup too, don't get to see him enough.

edit: that's his regular deal btw...he does that same thing for live audiences in Cali. been doing it for awhile if memory serves me correct.
