Poisons in PvE is a waste of reagents. Maybe with the upcoming buff they'll be worth using.

And it's a LOT more potent than auto-attack damage
No, it's not. You'll get maybe 100 extra damage from it.

And yeah, if you blow KI/Devotion on Assassination you're very much doing it wrong.

Oh right, i just assumed that no one would ever use Assassination in PVP and took it from a PVE stand point, while someone is stunned i would rather just build up more runes than fuck about with shitty skills that are only good when they crit. Please also stop using killers eye with Assassination lol, save it for either Throw Shuriken or Suprise Attack those are the moves that get the most out of it.

Been playing around with Oath of Accuracy Stigma, it is pretty nice for the 20 seconds it is on, did a few duels against a templar/chanter and didnt get a single block or parry so seems like it is really nice for those situational fights. Since a lot of their more powerful skills are proc based

Beast Scar is crap, did a lot of testing with this and seems that whenever you socket Beast Scar the small knock back that chain has randomly disappears, also the animation gets kind of annoying compared to the other skills, a tigric just comes out and attacks the mob (cool at first but yeh)

Aion Armory - Assassin Stigma Calculator - By Terhix going to be my new build, switching out sigil strike and blinding burst depending on PVE/PVP (i'm a sucker for 5 runes in PVE and hate not having 5)

    You've got me.. that's a poor example..

(I use Killer's Eye & Devotion in combo 99% of the time, usually with Surprise Attack or Dash Attack.)

If that's all you're seeing from it then your crit rate has to be off big time. Assassination is how many hits.. 5? 6? In a second. When it crits I'm getting upwards of 200 per hit plus the bonus, and it crits pretty damn often. I'll take 1000+ damage in a burst instead of just swinging blades any time.

I'm pretty sure Assassination is one hit as far as calculations go. It just shows multiple hits on the HUD, but not the combat log.

It does around 150-200 more damage than an auto attack for me, assuming they both hit critically.

Have you given thought of taking Divine Rune for PvP, probably over Deadly Abandon in that build? I wish I knew the damage and duration of the debuffs.

I've been thinking of taking it solely because of Rangers. The fuckers pop their +200 evasion move the second they get out of the lockdown, and it's over. I can't hit them with anything unless they're 2-3 levels below me.

And you'll autoattack for 800, not worth it when mobs are sitting at ~8k HP, imo.

Some classes and players also stack MR or have a lot of it on their gear at cap. I think Oath may end up a mandatory stigma.

Divine Rune is on the same cooldown as Radiant Rune the skill book you learn at level 50, all of the level 50 3 min cooldown stigmas are the same for all classes, i think it was from before when the cap was level 45 and those stigmas were the good stuff. I dont know why they are still in the game tbh.

Deadly abandon is the fucking shit, everyone needs it, last night i was getting 4.5k Suprise Attack crits with devotion an killers eye with that thing on, it better then anything else you will get.

You should be able to auto attack for more then 800 assuming you are using swords as they are 2 strike weapons so technically with a crit you can get 1.6k assuming you get the two strike proc on just one hand. Also i really dont see how you are weaving Assassination in, i have like 2 seconds in a fight where i could possibly use it, this is assuming i don't need to dodge, aethertwist or use any of the counterattacking moves.

Something im debating is whether to stick with sword sword, or go dagger sword and just socket in the extra attack from gaining the extra 50 crit from daggaers (at high end i guess this isnt a concern, or if fucking Hallion the jew doesnt stop dropping nothing)

You're missing the point here, which is a burst of damage vs. spreading it over several seconds, not to mention the couple extra normal swings you get after the skill finishes. I'd rather kill the 8k HP mob faster instead of letting it beat on my tank and stress my healer's MP.

I don't know what elite mobs you are fighting that have 8k but hit points but point me in that direction for when i level an alt. I assume you don't group with a templar and cleric for normal shit anyways.

For the mana cost, and you will have serious mana issues i chug like 200 pots a day depending on what im doing, Assassination really isnt worth it, it is better to just put an auto attack in and then go back to Swift Edge chain or build up more runes

As mob HP increases, it'll get even more worthless. The 8k came from the ~lv40 mobs I'm currently beating on. And yeah, I run out of mana long before I get low on HP.

not to mention the couple extra normal swings you get after the skill finishes.
    What?

Is that 20% based on your actual full attack power or on your base like Shadow Rage and Devotion? Because 20% of base is kinda meeeehhh.

I hear agonizing slash is good for 50 due to everyone having tons of MR and our rune bursts all being based off magic dmg.

Deadly Abandon is 20% of the weapon average, so it is a lot better when you are weilding a sword, and will get better as you get better weapons and start to +10 things, its still like a 35 attack increase with my level 49 blue weapon which is a lot.

I'm not too sure about any of our Advanced Stigmas to be honest, they all seem like a waste and meh at best. But i suppose when everyone goesMR crazy it may help.

All our adv stigmas suck, how do you know Deadly Abandon is 20% of wpn avg? Just wondering since the tooltip just says attack power +20% like Shadow Rage and Devotion do, and they both effect base attack power and not the modified version.

Well i put my main hand sword on which is, Hallion's Sword - Aion Item - aiondatabase.com at first i wasn't sure if it would just be based of the max possible damage on the sword (was hoping anyways), but it was adding up to like 35 attack power doing 174/5 making it not stick to what was showing ingame, tried the lower end and that adds up to 28.4 which wasn't enough as Deadly Abandon was giving me around 32 attack power, so did the obvious and added them both to find the average of the highest and lowest damage found 20% of that and it gave 31.6 which rounded up gave me pretty much what Deadly Abandon was giving me on my buff screens.

This is just something me and a templar did, it isn't extensive testing we just did it with some of our attack increasing % moves, it could be some complex formula to work it out but this seemed to match our results well.

Sorry if my math is horrible..but isnt 100% of a number...that number again? I popped shadow rage and my base attack at this lvl is 140, it gives me 128 more Attack power...

Betoni's dagger. But that wouldnt matter, as the 100% isnt doing an actual 100% boost. Unless the tooltip is wrong and wasnt translated right.

Then you just confirmed that attack modifiers are based off of main hand weapon.

Betoni's Dagger damage is 121-135 so

    121+135= 256

therefore; 256/2 =128 average weapon damage on betoni's dagger

since you popped 100% modifier, you are gaining 128 attack. Pop Devotion it should be 64, and Deadly Abandon 25.6
