They have beaten one team that is currently ranked (Wisconsin), but somehow are the #8 team in the coaches poll with 3 losses. They are just behind Duke, who beat them by 35 on a neutral court.

Did the coaches out west need to find a team to carry the banner since the Pac 10 is so down this year? In case someone mentions that they played a "tough non-conference schedule", their RPI right now is 23 with a strength of schedule of 43.
