Wow, it might be time to take Illinois seriously. Everyone had pretty much written off their record due to their weak conference schedule. They've still got the toughest schedule of the Big 10 contenders (@ Purdue, vs. OSU, @ OSU, vs. Wisc, @Michigan, vs. Minn), but it's hard to write them off completely after two top tier conference wins.

I'm a Purdue fan, but Kalin Lucas impressed the hell out of me. Hope he's back and good to go, makes the whole conference better. Purdue played pretty damn well for about 35 minutes of that game, though, and gives me some hope they'll do well tournament time.

The Big 10 race is going to come down the wire after all, it looks like. A week ago, it looked like a run-away, and now 5 teams within a game of each other. It's going to be exciting, that's for sure.

The only thing I can think of, is that Kalin went to Izzo and said im good enough to play, put me in. Izzo isnt gonna say no to his teams leader.

He 100% should sit the entirety of the Penn State game though. Shouldnt need him for the win. And if we lose I don't think he will be able to contribute much cause id peg him at only 65-70% right now based on performance tonight.

Its simply disgraceful to lose 3 in a row with the endcap at home. This shouldnt happen, it shouldnt have happened, and Izzo needs to get these guys into March shape or Indy will be out of sight.

Don't even feel like joshing Wisconsin for their loss, this one hurts too much.

If Wisconsin would have won tonight, I would have said they had the inside track. Now, I really can't tell you who has the easiest path between Purdue, MSU, and Ohio St. Illinois has the really tough schedule so I figure they are the longest shot.

I bet it will end up with a 3-way tie at 14-4 and nobody will really care with how diluted it is.
