yea I agree how it is pretty much pointless for the good teams who are pretty much given the red carpet treatment straight into the tournament. i.e; we didn't have a great ranking at the start and we still struggled with ranks last year iirc but took it all the way to the nat'l championship.

I just love college basketball. Also, I will be cheering for Wisconsin and Michigan (ew) in hopes of some wins for the acc/b10 challenge. Would be nice to actually win it! even without a contribution from state.

UNC has a tough stretch - Kentucky Saturday, then Texas later in the month...

I was thinking about this very thing today...and I can't think of another pairing of out of conference teams over the past few years that now dislike...bordering on hate...eachother as much as MSU and UNC right now...we might have a pretty solid rivalry starting if MSU can get a win or two in.

Thank you Michigan and Illinois for not showing up so far. Both of you two returned almost everyone and had decent recruiting classes, yet somehow have regressed so far from last year.

It looks like another year of hearing ESPN blabber about the Big Ten being "dominated" in a 6-5 loss.
