    for us:

Alliance1 - Best DD's go in this alliance
    DDx3 WHM COR BRD
    DDx3 WHM COR BRD
    BLMx4 RDM Mule1(happens to be a COR)

    Alliance2
    DDx3 WHM RDM/drk BRD
    DDx3 WHM RDM/drk BRD
    PLD/blm THF(puller) RDM/whm(with phalanx ii) BLU mule2 mule 3.

BLM pt's RDM is the dedicated Dia 3'r on every mob.

    Works well for us.
with our LS we tend to have a bunch of people who show up just for T1,2,3 clears and sometimes miss one of the clears and end up coming back after the next odin for more clears and may or may not miss out on that one Tier that they need a feather from, and its thos people who become the next LS save point, also when odin time runs around we have had 45+ people show up wanting to go and had to have some sit out.

We dont bring a PLD to any tier but Odin or unless one of our 1 job wonders shows up PLD...

But really PLD is not needed imo

Be nice. We've done 15+ Odins. The worst luck we have is just from not enough people showing up.

I was offering the guy a solution that may not be ideal, but is workable for a new group (which is why I'd assume he is posting here). He probably doesn't have 30 KC DRK's, and he probably doesn't have 6 steady WHM's, 4 steady COR's and a bunch of BRD's.

He's not hard, no, but it's been my experience that the group of demon's act too much like a 4th wave of mobs, and depending on your roll out in the first 2-3 waves you may not have time to clear another.

This is the best advice. However you should be able to read through the strats posted here and pick out a few things to try on your own. My "garbage" setup wins almost every time, depending on the luck of the mob rollout on T3 even though Dammerung needs a much more specific setup.

Just try what seems logical for you and tweak where necessary.

We go with 4 BLM's and that seem to be a good number. While you can hit an unlucky set of mobs the majority of einherjar can be BLM selpt and BLM's should be your sleepers since a RDM/BLM is a waste of space over a BLM. Having stuns on the wave mobs helps time immensely esp on bones and attack downga mobs.

We also started doing the 3 BRD rotation and it made a noticeable difference. If you don't have people that know how to do that well ...teach them. Worth the effort.

Getting familiar with how to handle certain out of the ordinary mobs/bosses is the best advice. Learn the tricks of what to and not to do and conveying that info to the group.

I push my setup because I've done over 30 Odin with only one loss in the last year. My setup isn't overly specific, other than WHM BRD COR DD3 kicks the shit out of RDM BRD DD4.

Something that hasnt been mentioned is you may want to look into 2 assists if your not allready, dosent work for everyone but generally works for us. Hardest part is keeping the 2 groups seperate so aoe dmg dosent overlap.

For starters tell your Cors to help sleep shit and to remove status effects. Don't listen when they assure you that they can do B+ damage and dual wield.

Better dmg than the THF you have along for Feint anyway, most likely

I don't know if he was serious or not, because cor can do decent damage, but there is time where you need a good balance between DD and Support. I don't think having one melee cor would make a huge difference, but if it means a single mage will heal a whole party, it might not be a great idea either.

One /WHM won't matter either, rather have the COR go balls out. /DNC is an option, instant Erase and shit.

This has been talked over repeatedly and the answer has always come back as: Take people that don't suck.

After you have achieved that, then it doesn't really matter what you do (at least on T1 and T2)

Once you reach T3 then you need to be a little more specific in jobs/strategy.

This. We always enter every tier with 2 main assist PLD's. After the first mob you will know if they are high HP or not (and you can usually tell by mob type anyway). If they are (like buffalo or something), everyone moves to one main assist.

With regards to setup, most people have already given you the answers. Unfortunately T3's will never become relatively "easy" unless you have sufficient BRD's. Ours rotate parties constantly in each of their alliances for T3, T2 & T1 they do but its not usually needed.
