I failed a 200p work order at 210p. I guess that's helpful to know if we're assuming work orders work the same way regular crafting does?

I'm sure it's technically possible to fail at any level, just extremely low if you're considerably above the recipe cap. The only way you could definitively say you can't fail is after thousands of tests you NEVER see the Fail bar move at all. If it can move in the slightest, then it's possible to fail. I'm not sure if that happens, it's very possible though.
210 is not 10 over 200, go with 211![]()
It seems you can still fail up to 20 levels over the cap but making potions in the 10,000's over the past week and not failing one makes me think its like 100% success past like 20-30 levels above the cap.
Hell I don't even see the failure bar move anymore.
Copypasta`ing onto my legion boards, gonna make a huge link back to BG too :3
Could you do a spreadsheet for the following recipes? I use Pages (Mac`s version of excel) and I`d like to translate it into Mac-ness, since I`m otherwise usnure of how to set everything up.
Worthy Twisp Headband
Worthy Twisp Tunic
Worthy Twisp Shoes
Worthy Twisp Leggings
Worthy Twisp Gloves
Worthy Twisp Pauldrons
If you need to know the recipes, can be found here.
I updated the main post's spreadsheet, fixed an error and a few typos. Also filled out the sheets for the lv.33 adamantium and the level 38 durable adamantium.
Also uploading a separate excel sheet for some of the worthy cloth gear as well that was requested. It'll be in the main post shortly.
Didn't know that! Though it'd suck to find that out the hard way.
I think his idea was more along the lines of if we all posted our HQ rates under x scenario, even if we only posted 5-10 examples each, it'd add up to a rather decently sized sample.
Which isn't a bad idea if other people wouldn't mind sharing their rates so far, as long as everyone is sure to only post results involving either 0 DP or 4000 DP.
Well, there hasn't been any reason to believe that anything other than DP levels would effect HQ rates. NC Soft doesn't appear to be like SE where they're going to try to hide some sort of obscene variables that might effect it; they flat out said that DP does. There is also no elemental system here that could possibly be tied to time of day or any other similar variables either.
It would literally be impossible to have any sort of conclusive or meaningful testing if you attempted to include and factor for every possible variable under the sun. I think it's at least safe to assume that in this game, the major factor is between 0 DP vs 4k DP.
It's fun! At least so far, mostly just doing it as a change of pace from all the end-game crap of other things lately.
Making and will update the OP with it shortly.
Looks like:

Just be sure to update all the prices to match your server's prices.
Although not a 1000 synths I did 46 silver earring synths with 4k DP and got 11/46 crit
Not bad...
EDIT: Going to do some more since I have a fuckton of mats so give some time to make 40 more ornaments :O
Doing another 31 now...
went 11/31 for a total of 22/77
Combining everyone's 4k DP results so far, including some of my own... Total is now:
28/96
For a 29.2% proc rate.
Possible it could be slightly inflated right now for a number of reasons, but it's a start. More people that can post the better! Especially not just when you have a good night, need the bad nights too.
Well, it's not much, but 0/3 on Durable Truth Orb HQs with 4k DP. At 399 skill and they're something like 290 if I'm remembering right.
Batch crafted 500 Strong Leather Pads with 4k DP:
NQ - 379 / 500 (75.8%)
HQ1 - 96 / 500 (19.2%)
HQ2 - 25 / 500 (5%)
Total HQ - 121 / 500 (24.2%)
EDIT: Just did another 500 Strong Leather Pads with 0 DP:
NQ - 377 / 500 (75.4%)
HQ1 - 92 / 500 (18.4%)
HQ2 - 31 / 500 (6.2%)
Total HQ - 123 / 500 (24.6%)
EDIT #2: 200 Tough Leather Pads - 0 DP
NQ - 158 / 200 (79%)
HQ1 - 31 / 200 (15.5%)
HQ2 - 11 / 200 (5.5%)
Total HQ - 42 / 200 (21%)
1/4 on Durable Truth Orb HQs, putting me on the next phase of Alchemy 400 test, yay~
2/27 on HQ HP+85 mana stones.
4/28 on HQ Attack+5 mana stones.
0/27 on HQing Magic Boost +20 stones.
All 4k DP. If level over doesn't mean much, that'd put my rate at 5.81% for the evening.
200 Tough Leather Pads - 4k DP
NQ - 139 / 200 (69.5%)
HQ1 - 48 / 200 (24%)
HQ2 - 13 / 200 (6.5%)
Total HQ - 61 / 200 (30.5%)
Thanks for the work, Ruke, some things definitely didn`t translate the way I thought they would into Numbers, but it works perfectly.
Ok so I got my lvl30 gold pvp gloves with 6% attack speed and made some manastones for it.
4k DP
Physical Crit +10 synth:12/76
~15%
It always seems manastone have a lower crit rate...
290 synth was 395 at time of synthing.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT: Did another batch, 117 synths @399 alchemy and got 13/117 crits.
Then did Phys Crit 12 stones and went 1/15/1 1 crit 15 trys 1 fail
also at 4k dp
-------------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT2: Did ANOTHER batch of 100 phys crit +10 into 12's and got 14 crits with 4k DP for about 14% crit
:D
So in the Lv200-400 range of work orders, you are rarely rewarded with an item that begins a quest where you just go to Reshenta. If anyone was worried that you can't get another one if you have one in your inventory already, don't. It's possible to carry many of them, so you don't have to go turn it in right away.
And here's proof, since this is the advanced discussion I guess it would be good to post this. Me with 4 Food Boxes.
Spoiler: show
Good because my level 22 SM can't go to Abyss yet heh.
I don't think its limited to the 200-400 range. I just think the chance to get them is much more rare though. When doing my Handicrafting I got one at around the 170-180 range.
It's possible, I only said that because I've never seen them outside of the 200-400 range. I'm not even able to test this with lower skill than that now, because I currently have Alchemy/Cooking 399, Armorsmithing/Handicrafting 300, Weaponsmithing/Tailoring 200.
Also, if anyone is wondering what level a character that starts crafting at Lv10 and only does that will reach by the time they reach Lv399 in two crafts. I got my Alchemy and Cooking to Lv399, and reached Lv24 Sorcerer, haven't killed anything since Poeta. Now I need to learn to play Sorcerer so I can reach Lv29 to do the Expert quests! This won't be accurate after the next patch, since they're increasing the exp from crafting.

My Spiritmaster is 22 and a half with only alchemy but then again I did 40 levels off of 36 second wind serum pots and been making tons of 30% scrolls which still give 1900+ xp per synth and I do a LOT.
