I noticed that trend as well, and have been inputting the data with that assumption being true. If it turns out not to be true, it's easy to revert my data to exclude the HQ2's.

Also, your numbers for Tough Hat don't add to 100, could you verify them for me before I enter them? Thanks!

Ruke, not sure if you`ve fixed it on your spreadsheet, or if it`s just a funky translation error into Numbers (mac) but when I input the # of things to be made on your cooking (and alchemy) the # needed for multiple items is wrong. If that doesn`t make sense, when I put in 36 ground aether steak, it says there`s 36 kirka wine and pepper needed, but that`s not true. Need 72 to make 36 ground steaks.

I appreciate bringing this to my attention and for the details/examples. I opened up my sheet and ran some numbers through, and found that it is in fact working correctly.

It's probably not made clear enough and is a little too confusing, but the information is just not being interpreted in the right fashion. I think this is actually my fault in the wording I used for the row header.

'Craft#' is supposed to represent the number of a product you wish to make; not the number of crafts you wish to do. So I can see where that gets mixed up.

But what that basically means is if you wish to make 36 Grilled Aether Steaks, in actuality you're crafting 18 times (since you get 2 products per craft). Thus, the #needed for all of the mats will reflect how many you'd need for 18 crafts.

The same applies for potions, in that if you enter 300 in the field, you'll be given the materials needed for 100 crafts (since you get 3 products per craft). Same for scrolls (500 craft# = mats for 100 crafts), etc.

I'll edit the main post and attempt to make that a little more clear. Thanks.

    Crafting Misc Info Spreadsheet

Chances are that players will already have to acquire enough different types of gear-sets. Theres been mention of RvR-gear, PvE-gear, Bounty Hunter sets and whatnot.

Its a nice idea, but space on characters is most likely rather limited. Id rather cut down on the load.

What bonusses would crafting gear have even?

Chance to make two potions instead of one?

Since i didn't read much about Weaponsmithing, yet, i'll share some of my experiences.

I always synth 10 weapons at a time.

Pretty early after launch I did some Titanium Swords. 20 in total and 10 each time.
First synths I had 3/10 HQ (green) and then 2/3 with the superior recipe, let's call it HQ2 (blue).
    Second was 2/10 HQ1 and 1/2 HQ2. Today i think i was extremely lucky.
    No DP first time.

Then I continued with Durable Titanium Greatswords. From this point all synths were made with 4k DP.

    1/10 HQ1, no HQ2.

Adamantium Polearms and Durable Adamantium Polearms each time 1/10. The last synths i did were the greatswords for expert quest.
Only did 5 there cos broke and gave me 1/5.

Soon I will have to make the Worthy Noble Durable Orichalcum Swords for the second part of the quest. After farming around 2k ores that is. Hope they proc.

Not much actual "testing", i know. But maybe someone else could share his experiences.

For weaponsmithing in general I can say that it's only woth it if you farm your ores/aether.
Fluxes are pricy (Gorgos Server) and farming them is not really an option due to droprates.
So if you wanna make a little money then all you should buy are those fluxes.

I didn't check if morphing them pays out better.

Then the question is why not just sell the ores and stuff straight away... in that case you have some profit garanted at least.
