Yeah but having BRD/COR/SMN for a buff combination like:

    Haste song 1&2
    Rouges Roll +12% crit
    Ramuh's Favor + 12% crit
    Fighters Roll +12% double attack
    Damage from avatar
    lolEnthunder

    Or

    Haste Song 1&2
    Rougues Roll +12% Crit hit
    Fighters Roll +12% Double Attack
    Ifrits Favor +12% Double Attack
    Ifrits warcry +attack rating
    Damage from Avatar

do sound pretty interesting to me. Again the combinations are near endless.

-What is the most accurate jug pet?

I would have to go with Lifedrinkerlars or Chopsueychucky. They're both accurate and hard-hitting, but they aren't like.....super accurate at all. >.>

I parsed the HQ antlion which seemed to have about 5-8% more acc on Greater Colibri over Lars, and it ended up with a 66%ish hit rate.

    yeah... Couriercarrie and Funguar didn't do much better at all. ><;

If there is one thing lacking about BST, it's the >>>>>>PET<<<<<<

    And that's just so sad.

Edit: forgot to mention 5/5 Beast affinity and Monster gloves. Before Mirke wardercors

I'm a SMN. I hate SE. Let me get those two things out of the way before I say what I'm about to say.

Holy fuck that's cool. Wow... SE actually did something right for a change. Shocked am I.

Completely irrelevant. Anything adding haste is going to always take precedence which, again, comes paired with evasion.

I agree that 1k needles doesn't need to be blocked, since pretty much every other job can do 1k dmg at will.

Blocked is a strong word, but limitations are necessary. Quite a few jobs can create that kind of damage, but most of them can't do it hate-free.

Summon Ifrit or Ramuh for next ~2:30.

To put another way, which is a superior buff from your party's mage slot?

    a) Haste + a gradually increasing Double Attack or crit bonus (and lolWarcry/Enthunder BPs I guess), or
    b) Haste

The only issue is whether or not SMN can handle the healing duties.

Smn and pup can, and any DD job that wants to sub thf can.

BST isn't smn or pup; If the pet in question dies you are out 15k (if you can even find sun water on the ah) and can't do anything for 5 minutes. The best you can do is put your pets hate on you which kind of defeats the point. The only way I could see 1000 needles being broken is some kind of 18 bst zerg but the recast doesn't even matter in that case. One minute per charge would have been much fairer.

Yeah, this is the kind of thing i was getting at. The buffs melees get out of SMN/BRD/COR combination are just better than if the SMN was replaced by a RDM or WHM.

The only real issue is if the SMN can get his/her perp cost down low enough where the reduced perp cost offered by this JA and BRD/COR Refresh can allow the SMN to keep up with its healing duties. If so, it would be interesting to see RDM's complain about SMN's being in thier TPburn mage spot.

Not at all. I'm sure with a little practice these can become as useful as other support abilities, and I, for one, am totally fine with that.

    How about "Dream Shroud"

Blmx4 Cor SMN will be the new blm party set up.
    SMN bonus to evokers roll.
    BLM bonus to wizards roll.
    Diablo's Favor 1-3 MP.
Dream shroud more MAB for the blms.

Probably going to start throwing in smns with the blms durning limbus now.

With Favor it seems you just keep it up nonstop.

EDIT: To put it another way, why isn't this just a job trait?
So it can be dispelled, I imagine, just like any other buff that can be applied to other players.

The problem with most people's attitudes towards SMN is that they think it's useless in TPburn (which is untrue anyway) and therefore useless fullstop. SMN is one of my favourite jobs to play for low-man stuff - it contributes safe, reliable and extremely versatile damage, coupled with the ability to support other people via Cures, -na spells and Erase. Siphon also allows for a lot more self-sufficiency than was previously available. This update just adds an extra dimension to an already-useful job, and I for one think that's great.

Yay, more double attack. Need to try that SMN DNC COR RDM BRD WAR (me) party now. With Fortitude axe or Rune chopper. Swing schwung swhang.

More importantly, BST can now do 1,000 damage every 6 minutes. This is fairly decent on really hard stuff... if you have a BST... without other job...

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

And for those summoners with scholar subjobs with diabolos... Endless MP refreshment coupled with endless ability to keep Diabolos perpetuated.

SMN now replaces BRDs for BLM/SCH (manaburn) parties entirely.

I could see some heavy abuse of the summoner buffs with a gjallarbard. Says that at its peak, the effects will be like those of lucky corsair rolls yeah. What could be done with gjallarballads, evokers, refresh, and another lucky evoker's-worth refresh?
