Scorpion Harness's being super expensive and rare... people thinking that no one would ever have SH+1's in my old ls lol, Dalmy being all but impossible to get.

I remember being told i would never get any kirin gear because he was impossible for all but the best JP's to kill, i now have all but the togi lol.

I remember doing Sacrarium with my cop static. We happened to stumble upon this beauty and blindly fought it. Pretty sure we were the first and our pic has been on alla since our adventure.

Anyone still have those old sky gods' pics? Like that black byakko on 1st page. Started in 2004 june, at that time i think the gods already been remake over. Was curious on how kirin looks..etc, i think it was different back then with what it is now?

They looked exactly like the normal monsters only bigger. Like Byakko looked just like a normal tiger, Suzaku looked just like a normal peryton, Seiryu looked like a normal wyvern, Genbu looked like Adamantoise and Kirin looked like a normal manticore. Same colors and everything.

Haha, those were the days, when the WHM af NM, Marchebute or something his name was, used to run rampant killing people in the dunes or. /sh Zoning goblins to selbina! Exping in places like Den of rancor toads, hell I did like 50-75 in The Boyahda Tree, Spiders --> crabs ---> more crabs ----> flies ---> hell more spiders. When RMT would camp the francisca crab NM, forgot his name for shining cloth in the robber crab area.

My most memorable moment perhaps is when I finished my RDM to 20/10 in the dunes, when I first went to Jeuno, this area filled with shout spam, horrible lag, casinos...

Garlaige Citadel pre mpk patch, exp PT pullers would link like 5 bats and run to the zone, then the bats would fly back slowly aggroing all the PT's on the way and just killing everybody

Also the random Serket's being zoned from time to time and having it walk back.

Nah, it was earlier than that. I've got some ss's of a Kirin we did April 12, 2005 and they all have the new skins. I don't have any older shots but I do remember fighting them when they looked normal so it couldn't have been too much earlier that they were changed.

edit: found a thread in BG general from Dec. of 2004 talking about the new reskinned Kirin and Gods, so it was probably the 12-9-04 update that changed them.

I remember getting a chocobo from Sandy and riding through La Theine on my way to Valkum as 18WHM/9BLM.
Unfortunatly, I ran accross a large ram NM.
And 12-15 people, from 60-70, were in an alliance to kill.
They almost completely wiped.
Worst part was, back then, AOE from the NM hit everyone around- in the alliance or not, on a chocobo or not.
Needless to say, I was knocked off my chocobo, dead!

I don't have many screenshots from when I started playing (and what few I do have is uninteresting shit). Both of these shots are from June 2004, a few months before I closed my account.

Some guy poison potioned to death in Lower Jeuno and ended up with a bunch of taru sitting on him in Lower Jeuno. Zoid sure has been around for a long time.

Second shot looks like the Cloister of Tides. I had convinced a few guys from my LS and 2 of their friends to come kill some avatars. We were all around level 60, very few NA had 75 jobs at this point. This is pretty much what all of our attempts looked like. I still find it amusing how you "die" again when exiting a failed BC.
