MUST...RESIST...URGE...TO...LINK...ON...FB..
Holy crap, the Death Metal bit on the remix made me fall out of my chair... then the Imogen and I was like "awww".
If this is indeed psychosomatic (or wtfever), she pretty much ninja'd her brain and fucked it up beyond repair? Sounds like some horrific Cerebral Palsy or somethin'... weird conditions for her when she's running also, very bizzare><.
God damn she must of got a huge lump sum of cash for that lawsuit.
I thought I would get at least a chuckle at the remix after some of the comments but didn't. Laughing is often a natural way to help ease yourself through shock/disbelief/whatever, and some other stuff I laugh at, but I just feel really sad for her. That really, really does suck.
I laughed when I saw the headline, I laughed when I heard it was from a flu shot. I quit laughing when I saw that it was a hell of a lot more than just walking backwards. It's almost disturbing to watch how she turned out from this. The headline is misleading in so many ways.
That shit has got to suck.
However, it should be injected into fatties in order to make them run.
Looks like the flu shots turned her from cheerleader to world-class crumper. She should be grateful that it brought her into the 21st century.
Well, let me reiterate how I feel. I laughed at the video because of the video, not because of her condition.
Secondly, it just seems kind of fake to me that she could talk perfectly fine and act perfectly fine while running (and only while running, apparently) but when she stops she suddenly turns into some spasm-ridden retard. It's horribly sad, yes, but... come on. Really? Is that really a condition? You act and move and shake like a fucking tool but when you coordinate your body enough to run and move you're 100% okay?
I'm no neurologist, but I know enough about the brain to know that if the brain isn't working right when you're standing still, it's not going to magically work when you're moving.
edit: Reading up on Dystonia from that link gives me a little insight as to why it happens, but it still doesn't make any sense. If her muscles are repeatedly contracting and causing her symptoms when she's standing still... then they should still be doing it while she's running (unless the vibrations or inertia from the running nullify the condition).
ITS MAGIC!
Thank you!
See, that's why I always liked Ryko.
We're both willing to admit we're amused by horrible things that most people just aren't willing to admit they laughed about.
My girlfriend as well, she said "I like him too, I mean shit, I wouldn't stop her... bada-bing!"
Then: "Ugh, man I'm gross, I just talked about a chick with a severe disorder wobbling backwards into my non-existent dick and laughed about it... heh."
The human brain is just fucking weird like that. Stroke patients who can no longer speak can often still sing, for example. The fact that it's psychogenic throws an additional loop into this, plus it's dystonia. Dystonia is known to only exhibit itself in specific situations in some cases. For example, a musician with focal hand dystonia may have full use of their hands when performing day-to-day activities, but sit them down with an instrument... it's a mess. Their muscles simply will not respond properly.
tl;dr the brain is weird and it's legit
Simple solution, just run slow.
