After the last 2 weeks of the Broker being empty someone put Unwavering Devotion up for 5M (previously sold for 8+M) and dinged 43. Now I get to start the pain of Betoni's quest. Hopefully I can get my 50's in the Legion to come lend a hand, every Elyos around seems to camp the quest areas. I'm still debating with myself about if I should get Mace or Sword, but I think I'll go with mace just for the extendable goodness. My wife still has no idea what to get for her Glad, she has the White Flame spear and the Betoni's isn't much of an upgrade so she's thinking one of the 1 handed weapons to try a dual wield Glad setup.

Now if I can just find some Sins to fight with my new UD.

Also I get a lot of people wanting to duel when waiting to go into SR runs. Especially the Sorcs thinking I'm going to be an easy win. They just can't get past all my HP and I end up beating them. Every single time I win it's always "I hit the wrong button that's why you won"... just admit you got your ass kicked and move on.

People don't like losing, i've rolled every class so far in friendly duels against my sin and some people refuse to beleive it, some cleric dueled me 9 times cause he wouldn't admit i beat him lol.

Yeah one Sorc in particular ended up dueling me 3 times. He was nerd raging in between. He kept telling me he could kick my ass if I didn't have my heals, my Iron Skin, etc, etc, etc and we needed to duel when those were on cool down. I told him OK, but you can't use a single CC move against me so fuck ur sleeps, roots, aether holds, etc, etc otherwise you can wait 10 minutes on my shitty cool downs and we can go at it again on equal footing and think about where you fucked up. Of course this pissed him off more.

By the third fight he ended up popping scrolls and food to fight me. I hadn't used anything like that up to this point so I used the one boost I cared to use, power shards, since I wasn't going to burn scrolls kicking his ass again. I tore him apart even faster than the previous 2 times. He didn't say a word to me the rest of the SR run.

Hell I spent 40 levels getting steam rolled by every single classs in the game. I finally start pulling ahead and winning duels against people and classes that previously tore my ass apart and people think I'm cheating or using a crazy amount of scrolls or something. Or the other typical response "You just got lucky this time".

The lvl 33 boots he has on are speed boots. Some people are cheap asses and consider the 37 quest ones the first speed boots.

    Thanks for the tips.

I skipped getting feet first since I already had the expert 33 feet. My legs were garbage and the body had some nice stats that ended up being free since I farmed all the molars. Went legs>body and still need to get the feet. Planned on getting the gold version of the level 40 sword if it was available, worth saving up for? Probably 12-14 mil on Vaizel, but how long will that last me?

Also, should I manastone some attack +5's onto my gear? Near crit soft cap as it is but just wondering how having more attack would benefit me. Heard people melt in PVP after 420 attack...

If it's the attack speed one (which i think it is) i'd say yeah try to get it or the blue will still be decent with attack speed and can get Betoni's/Xeno's Mace

The sword will last you a long, long time. Slot anything that you'll be keeping a while with att +5's.

Well it's a bit difficult to say when getting into 40's. A lot of options, but I hit the lottery and scored a 35 gold breasplate, stuck with that until I started to do Steel Rake on a daily basis and scored some upgrades. I would really recommend saving your money if you plan on running it, that or start enchanting.

    Looking for temp stigma advice

Currently running: Unwavering Devotion, Bodyguard, Punishment IV, Break Power III, and IJ, with 2 slots left

Looking at my options, I could do:

Holy Shield III (just for prereq) + Magic Smash
    Divine Fury + Aether Armor
    Divine Fury + Divine Justice
Or drop one and do Divine Fury + Aether Armor + Divine Justice

For what it's worth I have xeno mace and a blue GS that is hopefully gonna be plat coin GS soon

What do you think the best setup would be? I don't really like the idea of dropping the ones I have, but I really like the sound of Aether Armor, Divine Fury, and Magic Smash, so not sure where to go

Also worth mentioning I don't have 3rd advanced stigma slot yet, so looking at 7 slots to work with

Well ... Magic Smash is really not worth having to use Holy Shield. Holy Shield is supposedly getting a buff in 1.9 but even then its still not exactly worth it unless fighting several fast attacking players. It has really no use in PvE.

Magic Smash itself does the damage of a crit Punishment on a similar cooldown. It simply is not a great choice unless going to push for the end advanced stigma, which really isn't feasible with UD in your toolset atm.

For a pure pvp build I just don't see a real reason not to have Great Resuscitation. The heal can mean life or death a lot more than a little more offense can. While I run Incite Rage, it is really not worth it with the state of end game atm. It is useful inside instances it just simply is not worth it. Given the choice, between grabbing HS + Magic Smash, the more interesting pairing is Incite+GR.

Aether Armor is a great stigma but if you are not seeing many small scale battles with casters in the course of your day, then its a moot point to get it.

Divine Justice is a decent pickup for an extra stun, but I am not sure its worth it.

If you dont want to pick up Incite/GR then I would say AA+DF. You are going to get a lot more out of this pairing than you would out of anything with Divine Justice.

Are you looking for a PvE stigma setup or PvP setup? If you're looking for PvP I would suggest the offensive tree (the bottom Advanced Stigma tree on your menu) of advanced stigmas and put Unwavering Devotion and IJ in there to round it out. For PvE a mix or even just the top branch of advanced stigmas would work.

holy shield is the best stigma VS sins in 1v1, if you can react in a real pvp situation, before getting stunned and shit while your on guards......

with the new 3 stigma slots added for the future, we may actually be able to slot something for all round situation and not swap stigmas every hour ._.

Problem is ... its really only useful against Sins 1v1. If there is a group (and 90% of the time there is), then its not going to make or break. If its versus another class, then it really isnt going to make a difference.

i was lvl 43 Templar vs a lvl 50 sin and i popped HS3 up while not expecting much, turns out his health dropped and i won with about 30% health left. (inb4 lvl50 sin should never lose to a lvl43 temp)
So i asked him again to do it but without me attacking him, so only HS3 was up. It took him to about 60% health, i was amazed.

I hope it does get a nice buff~ a certain number of hits rather than time would be prefered so it's nice against more than just sins.

We still lose to decked out gladiators with our 2 healing abilities and iron skin. Hoping 1.9 is going to make templar above par in pvp against certain classes.

wut? templars are OP. I got a video of some of my pvp

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaZmP8kmjRY

and I have some videos left but i am bad at editing that shows me against many decked out glads/rangers.
there is one fight where i was against full AP weapon, armor and accessory ranger + (zapiel spear+10 ) glad + another zapiel spear glad which ended in me killing the ranger and 1 of the glad before dying to the 3rd one

Just as i read this i got 3-shotted by a Sorc as a 46 temp with 1.1k MR, and 11k hp. Aether armor wouldn't have helped much since the bitch stun locked me before i could even pop great resilience to try and save face a little.

Not to mention she had Ice chain on me (after i broke her root with prayer of freedom) and her sheild up so i couldnt pull her in. Tell me how i could have got out of that situation?

I think i'm right in saying that templar MUST be close to full gold + lvl 50 to have a decent chance at killing any ranged class in the abyss. Or maybe i'm just raging cos i suck at templar pvp.

I recently made a ranger twink (kinda) lvl 28 now and decided to go rifting in morheim. i made 5k ap in my 1st rifting session, jumpshots and all the semi-CCs ranger has makes life easy against 5 out of 8 classes, and even then... i found SMs easy to kill at this level, just sleep arrow the pet > nuke SM. Hell, i hit the boss in NTC for 2.1k at lvl 27.

Glads pretty much have the same issue, but they don't have IJ to yoink runners and AS isn't quite a guarantee you could kill them if it doesn't resist.
