Glads have that issue until they are geared and have Slaughter/Posture. Once a glad hits that point you don't need IJ because Cleave does more damage, is on a shorter cooldown, breaks a Sorc's Stoneskin on crits, and has a chance to knockdown and is part of a combo. At a certain point for Glad it becomes "Oh hey, you're in melee range of me. I win."

Warrior classes in this game are just late bloomers really. It's always better to scale with gear than with level in the long run. Templars are the same way, you don't really see them shine until they are geared at 50 and can put out some good numbers, while keeping their massive survivability.

Not to mention she had Ice chain on me (after i broke her root with prayer of freedom) and her sheild up so i couldnt pull her in. Tell me how i could have got out of that situation?

I think i'm right in saying that templar MUST be close to full gold + lvl 50 to have a decent chance at killing any ranged class in the abyss. Or maybe i'm just raging cos i suck at templar pvp.

I recently made a ranger twink (kinda) lvl 28 now and decided to go rifting in morheim. i made 5k ap in my 1st rifting session, jumpshots and all the semi-CCs ranger has makes life easy against 5 out of 8 classes, and even then... i found SMs easy to kill at this level, just sleep arrow the pet > nuke SM. Hell, i hit the boss in NTC for 2.1k at lvl 27.
Do you have UD? That helped a lot with fighting Sorcs so they couldn't stun lock me/Aether hold me.

Or just wait till the patch comes at this point. But yeah UD will really level a playing field when all a Sorc has is sleep they can't do a hell of a lot else to you. Once you break their stoneskin you will rip them apart.

Looking into start working on gathering the platinum coins needed for the 46 gold set. Is it worthwhile? Would it last a while?

Will say no, but somebody might think otherwise. At present, the weapons are probably the only thing worth considering for certain classes, but fusion for 2-handers will just downright eclipse the cost:benefit ratio for the 2k weapons, while some 1h like Xeno mace maintain some desirability due to extending.

Consider them adding a new coin line in 2.0, and without adjusting the required values for current plat items, they'll likely be even more of a waste of time and money when you could just focus on leveling and shooting for the newer gear.

The effectiveness of 1.9's improved drop rates are still unknown to me, but as a Templar, there probably won't be too much of an issue getting invites to run instances. And if you wanna be a real prick, don't party with gladiators so you get all the plate loot to yourself.

Posting a video of hitting people with lesser gear or ganking is not what i'm talking about. Yeah, i can kill any sorc,sm,rng, glad, chant etc with average to even miragent/fenril gear. I was specifically talking about decked out good players, who are wearing full level 40-50 abyss sets in duels. This would only amount to about 6 people on my server, that's all I was pointing at.

Korean's amount to thousands when it comes to that however so I feel it's an issue once we reach that point.

    Necro bumping for great justice~

Need some gear/l2p advice as almost all my gear is completely outdated from when i used to play.

Anything that i should specifically focus on replacing? If so, what should i replace it with? Running on limited funds atm cause the hacker raped my account it seems.

Aside from at least purchasing Expert LV33 or 38 gloves/boots with the run/atk speed bonuses, just start hitting up SR otherwise for some easy golds.

Just set a lot of similar CD abilities next to eachother. Shield stances next to the counters, etc. I like to use particular macros and point and click/speed pad like crazy so idk how you might play.

I'm looking to update my Stigma build after I dinged 50 last night and I'm not quite sure what to work on. My current build is:

    Unwavering Devotion
    Inescapable Judgement
    Holy Shield
    Magic Smash
    Incite Rage
2K Cure Advanced Stigma (can't remember it's name)
    Empty Slot from dinging 50

In my inventory I have Aether Armor, Bodyguard, and Break Power III

Until I can replace my Betoni's Mace I don't want to give up Magic Smash, seeing a 2700+ Crit on that is too sexy to give up. I haven't even begun to go after the extra slot, I just dinged 50 late last night.

For right now I will be doing more PVE than anything to try and replace my gear from instances, but I would like to move towards PVP.

Right now I'm leaning towards picking up the level 50 Stigma that inflicts damage and absorbs 50% (can't remember the name and it's just like the skill I just got at 50) but I don't know if it's on timer as the skill ability since they're virtually the same.

Anyone have any thoughts or experiences for recommendations?

Also I was thinking as I replace gear with nicer level 50 that I keep my old gear and resocket it to be more of a heavier PVE set with HP and Block (currently it's all crit) and all my new stuff stack with Crit and Attack.

Now I'm having FFXI flash backs with the situational gear sets.....

Our main temp's pve/dredg build is IJ, Aether Armor, Bodyguard, Break Power, Terrible Howl, Divine Fury, Divine Justice, Unwavering Devotion and it works really well

If you're talking solo and don't use greatsword then drop break power for something else of course

I'm still concerned over Bodyguard, it seems every time I use it I die lol.

I've made the mistake of using it on Grogget and he started doing his AOE slash and I face planted almost immediately.

I wasn't a huge fan of Terrible Howl in earlier levels, is it much better at high levels?

Terrible Howl is junk for PvE imo... 5 min CD is just stupid for such a weak skill~ it's nice for PvP tho since that 4sec of fear is valuable time to pump out damage~ needs to be timed perfect on healers tho :3

Does Body Gaurd stack with Nezekan's Shield? meaning you would take zero damage for whoever you are gaurding? that would be fucking OP in dredgion lol

Mostly playing with combined Expert orichalcum greatsword/blue PvP GS lv35 (yay PvP Atk+5%, 5 slots 50 and atk+22 bonus for 44k AP) and current setup is:
    Divine Fury
    Inescapable Judgment
    Break Power
Bodyguard (used it for the first time tonight in Dredgion, quite happy about it, need to test it further)
    Unwavering devotion
    Divine slash
Terrible Howl (<3 removing sins's stealth)

I have yet to complete the last advanced stigma quest and I'll probably fill the new slot w/ aether armor for my PvP setup. Quite pleased with it so far.

Any experiences on having a Crit build vs an HP/Block build for 50? I don't go out and PvP to a great extent right now and just trying to do instances and things until I can get more gear from them and start working on my Fenris set. I Mace and Shield right now (I use Betoni's Mace right now, but hoping to get a decent sword).

Eventually I want to get a real nice Greatsword and once I get some more replacement 50 gear I'll most likely switch back to a full Attack/Crit setup.

I've really liked the Crit setup while leveling up, and would recommend full crit for any Temp leveling up, but now it seems I'm seeing my HP go lower a lot faster when I'm doing some of these instance boss fights.

    Thoughts? Opinions? Experiences?

All of our legion temps use greatsword with crit+attack builds and I have no problem keeping them up against instance bosses (haven't done s-rank DP boss but everyone I've seen recommends GS for that fight too). Problem with mace/sword + shield is you don't do enough damage to keep aggro over real DPS classes, so what's the point in the extra survivability if you aren't the one tanking?

    Yeah this^ 101%

I have incite rage + provoking rawr and i still lose aggro to decked DPS on miren 50 boss towards the end... and other long fights for that matter

So time to invest in a real good greatsword then.... now to just find money or actually get a damn drop for once.
