Just an FYI, the 400 armorsmithing quest is going to be extremely painful since the fluxes you need for it are rather expensive and you aren't high enough level to farm them.

Unless you've got high level friends to help!

I've been too lazy to level recently, halfway through 45 now.. I did manage to hit 11K hp the other day though (food, emp, chanter buff, artifact buff). Heh.

At 35 now and I've been trying out IJ, Provoking Roar 2, and Break Power stigma. It's great after Face Smash and since I duo all the time the chance of a stumble occurring is higher. The combo of a shield skill > Face Smash > Break Power becomes a second three skill chain which also increases your attack like Divine Fury could anyways.

Also is Unwavering Devotion stigma priced for millions on other servers as well? Sounds great but too much for me.

    Just use PHC.

Unwavering Devotion is about 3 mil on my server, fucking ridiculous.

Unwavering will probably always be over 1mil, but it's pretty absurd on some servers right now. Just wait.

It is amazing, though. Friend found one for me :3

I wondered about attack manastones. I was under impression you wont get attack bonuses from them if you socketed them to any other piece but your weapon. Is that not the case? does the game not care if you socket it to armor body piece or feet?

Correct. It doesn't matter where you socket what.

My experience with Templar since release has been suprisingly good and bad depending on every 10 levels. After 40, the class starts to get hardcore with Iron skin and Shield retribution at 42 which I had my highest crit at 1856. It also increases the chances of proc'ing Face smash->Break Power 2, the only problem I have with the blocks is consistently rotating them before the timer wears so for those using a macro for your shield blocks..you pretty much have to start getting accustomed to binding each block now for consistency. Our 4k DP move at 40 is nice but the 1 hour cooldown is a letdown so it's only useful for the ohshit moments or large scale raids.

Bodyguard stigma is helpful but the lack of animation on the skill doesen't help notify the healer that it's active, I can't fit the stigma and see a real purpose for it at the moment since people just don't stand near me when I use it. So I'm sticking with Judgement, Provoking Roar III, Break Power II (a must), and Siegebreaker until I get more slots.

My gear is definitely above average minus the accessories at the moment but horrible stories..Xenophon's is the way to go at 41 so get the quest done as soon as you ding. I +1 enchanted it sucessfully after the 6th try but I've heard of a few friends blowing 6 million and still failing, Noble Laupede Shield and +1 on that after the 10th try, +1 on the guardian plate boots, and the worst part of it all..socketing 6 fucking stones on my Gold gauntlets last night even though I had to put all whites in, I consider that a fucking miracle..+1 to the gauntlets took another 3 tries. I chose this gauntlet over the level 40 abyss blues primarily for the sockets and more damage reduction from a player and the fact that it's a gold and +6% attack speed which is very noticeable and will be once parsers are available to this game. Warning though, socketing this fucker is a serious nightmare if you plan on blowing greens..

Loss of 5.4 mil kinah in a day but Crit is at 358 now which is pro for a templar and still consider it vital until soft cap around 400+ where we can start socketing in more attack. HP+ shouldn't be necessary with empyrean active + Iron skin for ohshit moments if clerics lag on healing me in time. Sitting on 6.5k hp at 43.

You lost 5.4 million kinah socketing up to 358 crit?

..crit stones are THAT expensive on your server?

    Since we're linking characters http://na.aiononline.com/characters/Siel/Aeris

46 this morning but I have class today!

Hit 30 earlier, all crit stones (cheapies) and I love the class. I just wish that sorcs didn't absolutely buttrape me at this level if my IJ doesn't connect properly.

Wishing it would go a little faster, getting kind of bored of grinding the same mobs every day with no real quests left that I can complete. But luckily I think I can do FT now, which gives me another big something to work on :D TG was really fun, I'm hoping FT is just as good.

I ended up using a bunch of +12 since they were relatively cheap and I have abotu 348 Crit total with my sword but I almost always use my mace over it bringing me back down to 278, thank goodness for great phys crit scrolls.

You have to break Stoneskin or you can't hit them with IJ.

Which is retarded and the pull should still go through the Stoneskin. Why the hell is it called Inescapable Judgment if they -can- escape it? Lol

Yeah I tried socketing +12's at first, and blew about 2 mil just off that. I can go past 4 slots, 5th and 6th slot fuck you in the ass pretty hard regardless. The +10's are relatively cheap on my server but it still took about 43 of them to get all 6 in. Not really happy having +10's on a gold but when I get richer I'll look into that.

ahh, shit they don't tell you in tempbrah school.

then at this point i stand absolutely no chance against any sorc my level without a large reservoir of potions at my disposal

please someone tell me it gets easier qqq

on the bright side though, since divine slash I leveling has become so stupid amounts of easy peasy i don't mind grinding as much, i just hate not having everything be so easy is all.

You get Iron Skin at 40 which lets you drop debuffs and Prayer of Freedom at 46 which drops all movement debuffs. That + charge should let you close and hopefully break stoneskin to enable IJ. You also can go the damage advanced stigma route and pick up 2 ranged attacks to help break stoneskin, but then you miss out on some other stuff.

Speaking of advanced stigma, what's probably the best route(s) for PvP? I haven't really looked into it too much, but from what I can tell there's some nice party buffs and a self heal in there depending how you go about it?

None of them are really worth getting, you're better off mixing up the lower ranked ones instead of going for one of the Advanced Stigmas. Neither Shield of Fate or Empyrean Fury are even worth getting with what you would have to slot to get them.

I'm sure I posted my stigma build I'd use at 50 a few posts up.

This begs my biggest question. I am 40 and while my gear isn't phenomenal, I think I am doing "ok" for now. I tend to stick with what I can easily make myself with little out of pocket cost (I tend to be extremely poor in most games I play) or via quest reward or monster/boss drops. So you speaking of using a mace interests me.

What are the advantages you see in using a mace? I see the Xenophon's is extendable while the sword is not. I have seen quite a few people talking about using a mace as a templar and just have not seen anyone speak to as why it is really good besides the "it has magic accuracy so our IJ sticks more". Which does not seem like a good enough reason to use it over a sword.

The reason I am favoring a mace right now is because the one I have in particular has attack speed on it, I stacked the hell out of crit and use Greater Crit Scrolls and have around 338 Crit with a mace. I am thinking about taking out the Block+25's I put in the shield, but reluctant because of how rarely I see them cheap on ebay.
