Currently 38, starting to get some decent gear too. (Aion™ Online :: Character & Legion)


I'm trying to decide where to go with Manastones at this point. I'm currently 100% into HP, but I'm starting to think swapping in 50% or so Magic Boost will help with grinding/PvP. I group when I can, but I'm far enough ahead of the leveling curve that finding good groups isn't always easy. I often find myself grinding mobs in the abyss (currently killing the 39-40 4-dots near the dual guard tower camp in Upper Abyss). Theres actually a 47 cleric on our server who solos world bosses with a pure magic boost set. Sure is tempting...

First of all fuck you to be able to get hp 75 stones

but otherwise good stuff, even though magic boost is good for soloing purpose, you should stack some as many HP as you can.

Also Reverse condition is good, but at that Level + stigma slots available you should use better skills, like earth wrath or festering Wound

Apologies if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but has anyone else noticed how shit the accuracy is on Holy Servant? I get huge resists using it on mobs anything over my level. I have nowhere near the same resists with any other spell however (and this is with me using Mag Acc + food!)

Kudos to Ratatapa for not calling 'Reverse Condition', 'Convert'. I haven't managed that yet :D

I'm over festering wound. The only class it really helps against is Chanter.

For the record, they screwed up Sympathetic Heal's tooltip somehow. It's still just a heal on yourself and your target, not your entire party like the messed up tooltip says.

I don't think the Holy Servant gets the benefit of any magic accuracy you get from buffs or gear. I noticed that after I upgraded from a really outdated mace to a much better one, my resists on things like Thunderbolt all but disappeared while Holy Servant nukes still resisted just as much.

I agree. I believe that the game may recognise Holy Servant as it's own entity, seperate from it's caster's Magical Accuracy. Either way, it's rubbish. I still like to use it to pull with though

How do you feel about shield block manastones on cleric before 25? I ran out of magic boost and HP and threw a couple on my 23 cleric because I was taking a ton of damage at zombie camp. I have more hp stones now that I have been leveling glad so I can go throw those on whenever I hop back if it's considered a complete waste of a manastone slot.

Pretty much anything is good under 25.

You can mix and match any of the following and do fine.

HP+
MP+
Magic Boost+
Magic Acc+ (if there are any at that lvl)
Shield Boost+

Heck Even Crit+ if you wanted

HP+ is really just for survival in the abyss.

I'm set up with mostly HP+ and Magic Acc+ and a little bit of MBoost+ at lvl 40. Getting resisted in PVP can be a real bitch and we can never kill something fast enough at least with the spastic way i pvp.

Anddd LVL 40 - 4000DP skill rapes. Love it. Got to use it last night on some unsuspecting Emo. I think it only ticked 2 or 3 time though before he was toast. Still fun.

I've stacked HP from the beginning. I don't solo grind ever at this point. I'm usually duoing elites with a gladiator. Pre-25 I think you can do whatever you want, and it won't really matter.

We pvp a ton in our legion. Last night we were up in primum fort killing ppl. Since clerics get focused a lot, I love having a ton of HP. I wish I had more but those 85HP gems are expensive.

Also the comment @ festering wound, you know I've fought so many clerics 1v1 who didn't have it. Once I used it on them they would die within seconds. Asmos are kinda dumb on our server.

Stigmas - what should I use leveling up, and at what levels should I swap out for new ones?

Only 20 atm so Blinding Light and Grace of Empyrean are my only options, but Flash of Recovery at 25 looks awesome, as does Earth's Wrath at 28. I was thinking take off both for Flash of Recovery and Earth's Wrath, then putting Blinding Light back on at 30. What do you guys think?

Flash of Recovery is, if you ask me, our best line of stigmas. Absolutely essential.

Earth's Wrath is great for PvE and alright for PvP. It takes a little long to cast for my liking and after PvP damage reduction and player stats it ends up being pretty insignificant.

Flash of recovery needs to stay on at all time.

Blinding Light is awsome in PVP and sometimes in PVE for different reason
Grace of Empyreal lord is nice, but easily replacable

I picked up Splendor of Recovery this weekend and I'm liking it so far. It's nice to have a group heal for pvp that doesn't have a gay 6 sec cast

Yeah, I've gotten 21 and played with them a little now, and grace of empyrean lord seems pretty meh to me, plus MP is just rarely ever an issue. Duration is too short imo, or too long cooldown for it to be super useful. Blinding Light has already saved me or my tank/mages' asses a few times now so I like it, but I'll probably swap it out to have both Earth's Wrath and Flash Healing, then re-equip it at 30.

How is splendor of rebirth (the really strong regen one)? I was a big fan of regens in ffxi and heal-over-times in EQ (never played wow), but the ones in Aion so far haven't impressed me much. Do the stigma ones work as well as they look like they should at higher levels? That seems really worthwhile to me.

When healing a Fortress Raid do you heal just your group or try to heal the Alliance?
What about for World Bosses?
