Autohotkey scripts and Aion

While grinding, I tend to make use a macro that has all my skills so that I can just spam one key. For example, I would have this in a macro:

/Attack
/Skill Ferocious Strike II
/Skill Robust Blow II
/Skill Wrathful Strike I
/Skill Rupture I
/Skill Weakening Severe Blow II
/Skill Cleave I
/Skill Seismic Wave I

If this macro is hotkeyed to say the E key, I can just keep tapping E and I would cycle through the skills. Since the macro is always read from top to bottom each time it's pressed, I can still do skill chains. Also if the skill is not yet cooled, the next ready skill will be initiated.

Now, this gets repetative extremely quickly. Tapping one key for hours gets boring. Tapping several keys per hour is even worse.

This brought me to Autohotkey. It's a program that allows you to do many things with hotkeys. One of those things is to make holding down a key into rapid or auto-fire. In the case above, I would just hold down the E key and the abilities will all be cycled through just as if I would be continually tapping the E key.

My question is, has anyone used autohotkey and does NCSoft frown upon it? Could it be possibly treated as a botting program and subject to such penalties i.e. banning?

Without even trying to guess if they'd allow that or not I'd say the simple fact that AHK has features to move your mouse for you means they would ban you if they found out you used it.

macros are cool, macros are neat, once macros stop forcing you to press a button to use them they are bots

Well, am not one to ignore reason. Gonna get rid of autohotkey.

Even better is a macro which includes auto attack delay so you get an auto attack in between skills, more dps that way.
