Question on some possible upgrades to my WAR's Man/Ridill TP set.

Head: Askar
Neck: PCC
Body: Adaberk
Earrings: Brutal/Suppa
Hands: Dusk
Rings: Raja's/Iota
Waist: V.Belt
Legs: B.Haidate
Feet: Aurum
Back: Cuchu Mantle
Ammo: Bomblet

Only thing I can think of really is a Toreador's Ring. Anything other suggestions would be much appreciated.

I'd say it's pretty clear that he has more than one set for war...

For Ridill? Get a Joyeuse. Don't TP in Askar hat, use Turban. Hollow/Suppa. On stuff DEX isn't giving you critrate and your DEX is odd, a sniper would beat Iota (but meh, save for Toreador). Parse your hitrate, Blitz ring might be situational (keep Aggressor in mind). If your hitrate is far beyond cap, you can switch in stuff like bomb core or lightning bow +1 and an attack mantle. A general upgrade is Barone hands with augmented haste (3% onry) and some DEX.

A while back it made a lot sense for war. The DMG/Delay ratio was good, as you got 276 delay over 288 delay axes such as Jugg or Woodville's. Axe natively has 19 more skill and you got an extra 5 acc and 18 attack while under 100 tp and during WS. This helped a lot when the only options were sushi or meat, and people tried hard to make meat builds work effectively. A good chunk of the overall damage came from WS phase, and Rampage is a 5-hit to vorpal's 4-hit, and WSing /w a higher a base DMG.

This didn't apply in situations where a person had sword merits + suppa, or they were fighting coli and got a pierce bonus on joy. I remember seeing lots of parses and math going one way and the other, and it seemed there was no clearcut answer.

I'm sure with our better understanding of ffxi maths, new eq, and introduction of pizza, things are different now. But I rarely see much on ridill math now a days since 2H is lastest and greatest method of DDing.

Haste easily at worse it's a 23% increase to DoT, and WS DMG, while 5-hit is only equal to 20% more ws damage assuming had 6-hit with the haste, and I think some of they beat relics if you can keep AM3 up with it, and has strong ws like drk, drg, or war do.

Yigit or Goliard? I'm fairly sure Yigit is higher damage and Goliard is higher M.acc, but if you assign equal value to damage and ACC, which scores the highest? (which gives more overall stats for the slot). Does Cobra even enter into the contest?

I prefer 4/5 Devotion, 1/5 Martyr, 5/5 Shellra V. Martyr is just a handy cure on the fly, I think its worthy of being unlocked.

On my WHM I did CAT1: Regen 3/5, Cure Cast Time 2/5, and Barspell 5/5. CAT2 is Shell/Devo 5/5 though.

Hope Torque, adding in the AGI it's barely below PCC on RACC and has like 6.3 RATK. Still WS in Gorget though.
