Ehhh, I forgot Ltng Bow +1.
Berk +1/Lightning Bow +1 is 9 Dex 6 Str 12 Acc 12 Att.
Osode/Bomblet is 10 Dex 10 Str 6 Acc 6 Att.
PLD 1 Merits (assuming Sentinel 5): Rampart 5 or Shield Bash 5?
Actually Shield Bash is more enmity unless you hits most members in your party with Rampart, which at least for me, isnt all that common. It's been brought up one million times, and always there is a similar split of people that go after one or the other. Rampart nets less enmity on average for most people although the damage absorbed is pretty nice with a good setup, while Shield Bash is a sure enmity source that can be worth more magical damage absorbed than Rampart if used right, basically stuns anything that is not fully resistant, and can build the tank/s or other allies time to get that Ichi off or other potential emergency cases.
Hey, guy in Thunder ring:
Blitz ring.
1% haste > 5% crits.
Us DEX-whores whore DEX because we've attained our max haste and hitrate and there's nothing else to boost but fSTR and crit%, crit% being easier and better.
With this Guillo/Insurgency set

Would Onyx legs beat out heca in merit level situations? (salvage/nyzul/ein/dyna/etc)
Try to decided if they are worth dropping 3m on or not.
What's better for an Elvaan RDM Idle:
-PDT/MDT/DT
Max MP
Right now I'm Max MP Idle w/ Terra's Staff and Jelly Ring. So a slight mix of both. Should I bother with getting Goli legs and idling in them instead of Zenith Slacks?
Btw, this is at full MP bar. I know I can switch to idling in -PDT/MDT/DT once the extra MP is used up, but I need a good script for that for spellcast..as I don't currently have a way of doing that.
That should do the trick.Code:<if MPLT="%MPMAX - (The difference between your MP and PDT sets)"> <action type="equip" when="aftercast" set="PDT"> </action> </if> <else> <action type="equip" when="aftercast" set="MaxMP"> </action> </else>
Trade-off is 6 Acc for 5 STR (~2 base damage on Guillotine if fSTR isn't capped, which it might be. 1 if it is). In situations where you need Acc, obviously Acc wins. In situations where you don't, Onyx wins. If you want to spend another 3mil and never use Heca Subligar, you could buy an Acc+7 ring and use that and Onyx instead of a Flame Ring and Heca. More Acc, same STR, more MND (Flame ring is marginally bad for Guillotine).
I'm getting 98 Dex without Heca subligar. 292 Scythe Skill? If so, I think you have 396 Acc total pre-food and without Heca Subligar. 402 Acc with Heca Subligar and Flame. 403 Acc with Onyx and Toreador.
I assume you eat Pizza at MMJSP and meat at birds? If so, I'd stick with Heca Subligar at birds. You can probably use either when you're eating Pizza. If your Acc is capped, use Onyx.
IMO the answer is situational.
In a merit party you don't want to be stood around in full PDT, and you don't want to be stood around in full zenith when soloing.
So I made my aftercast set based on a variable, which I set based on the type of idle set I want (full mp for merits, light PDT for general purpose etc).
Could just make a RDM/WHM(Merit) group and a RDM/NIN(solo/lowman) group.
or type:
"//sc var set aftercast MP"
"//sc var set aftercast PDT" (I have 2 sets one light and one high PDT)
"//sc var set aftercast MDT" (as above)
As appropriate. (I have the second line on a macro for ohshi moments)
This way I don't need to change groups. If feel I need more protection I can just set up to the next set of PDT without effecting any other rules or gear sets.
