    Glad I am not the only one who thinks that. Tho I would only use Onyx over Ares, black and ares is probably too close that I would just use ares for the added dex so I can drop some acc in other slots.

    As for the OP. You should aim at around 410 in acc for ws. Your ws acc should be slightly higher than your tp acc. I find that moogle addon helm with 25 acc help a great deal. You lose 0 att from switching heca cap, and just 7 str difference. It enables you to use onyx legs (5 str) with your set and still hit that 410 acc mark. You will also be able to use a bombcore instead of bomblet if you have too much acc. Overall, str doesn't do much for guillotine, and your fstr should most likely be capped anyway in those situations that you mentioned. Attack is the way to go.

    Edit: this also allows you to use justice torque (if you have one and feel that 4 acc from gorget is better) over snow gorget and perhaps swordbelt +1 over warwolf providing you don't need the 5 dex for acc reason. Onyx feet over heca feet as well. Str is not so hot for guillotine.

    Usually w/ either attack buffs, defense down buffs, or on weaker stuff Smilodon+1. There will be cases Forager's is better. Never Cuch.

    I'm got 55WAR, and was wondering if the attack from Spiked Finger Gauntlets is better than the acc from Fourth Gauntlets? I've got PCC/2xSnipers/Life Belt already.

    And as a twofer, is Republigar still acceptable at 55, or would Royal Knight Breeches be better?

    Breeches are essentially attack+4.5 acc+1.5 str+2 dex+2 (depending if your str is odd/even). Less acc/att if you're not using gaxe for whatever reason. There's really no comparison to Republigar there, seeing as the breeches are strictly better.

    Edit: Also on the subject of Fourth/SFG, I'd say Fourth is better on the grounds that N Kote is better than O Kote and it's a similar kind of thing for WAR. Fourth is only worse when your acc is already capped.

    ok to the apoc drk's out there any info would be greatly appreciated. Looking for a couple options for cata set up.

    Basically i'm looking for the "ideal" mixed set. Money isn't an issue, most gear isn't either. (i'm in line for ebody from odin just a matter of time) ares I have etc etc. Looking for the most optimal "mixed" set up.

    Any help/info/suggestions appreciated.

    I used Fourth when Aggressor was down, Spiked when it was up, but I also had a static BRD n' COR, so ACC buff if needed.

    Ares Body Vs. Askar Body for tp gain on War Gaxe when Acc is capped. I think I know which, but I'm not quite sure if the 2% DA would beat out the extra Str and Atk on Ares.

    426 Acc with Agg up with this, 422 with Blitz Ring. Pretty sure Ares probably wins, but I thought I'd ask and maybe find a use for this thing. Going to just wait for Ebody to fuck with my Dex build anymore.

    7 STR, 12 Attack vs. 2% DA during TP. 7 STR and 12 Attack probably wins. That's a lot.

    Or HQ Haub vs. Askar 1 STR, 6 Dex, 12 Acc vs. 2% DA. Bomb Core for Bomblet would be -6 Acc, +6 Atk. Cuchu -> Forager's would be -4 Dex, -1 STR, -5 Acc, +15 Atk. Hollow to Assault and you get +5 Atk, -2 Dex and -1 Acc.
    Total, it's +26 Attack vs. 2% DA vs. 7 STR, 12 Atk

    +26 Attack beats 7 STR and 12 Attack, so I'd do that.

    For the record, it's--
    Hollow -> Assault (5 Atk for 2 Dex and 1 Acc)
    Cuchu -> Forager's/Cerb+1 (15 Atk for 9 Acc)
    Askar -> Haub +1 (2% DA for 12 Acc and 6 Dex)
    Bomblet -> Bomb Core (6 Atk for 6 Acc)

    You could also go get some Dusk +1 feet and use them when Aggressor is up. You'd want to leave Bomblet and Hollow on then.

    Job?

    For a low-Atk job like THF, Crit rate +6% will be better than DA+3%. For a high Atk job like WAR, DA+3% is possibly better on lower defense monster (more TP gain, crit hits are only worth about a 50% damage boost, etc).

    STR is hot for guillotine and attack is easily gotten from red curry and a BRD.

    Unless you're exclusively using Dragon Kick (which isn't really the best option but, well, what are you using Footwork for at all, anyhow?), you definitely want the 10 extra Damage from Destroyers on weaponskills. That said, the critical hit rate on Destroyers won't affect Kick Attacks with or without Footwork active, so if you are only using Dragon Kick, then you're better off with Useshi or Meteor Cesti.

    Nah, on weak stuff your fstr would be capped.

    On harder stuff, you want acc, so most likely you can't just eat hardcore meat. Pizza is good. Of course you have apoc so it is a bit different for you.

    You are basically saying since you are capped in att from food and song, and capped acc from apoc, the only thing that should add to your damage is str, which is true, but not for everyone.

    Edit: what I am trying to say is that attack, before you are capped due to song or food, will shoot your guillotine damage up the most. Add str only if you are capped acc and att.

    I hadn't thought about that, Useshi it is then. I asked because I've been curious to see how a well 6-hit footwork build works, now that I've got white tathlum and am working on Usukane body.

    Might as well ask it here:

    26% EQ haste, 373 acc (incl. food) -- (then add Haste spell assumed fulltime)

    or

    25% EQ haste, 381 acc (incl. food) -- (then add Haste spell assumed fulltime)

    ?

    Basically asking if it's worth it to give up Haste+4% (blessed+1), for Haste+3%/Acc+7 (dragonpants)

    Is 26% capped at 25.5% or 25.25% or something else?
