    Windows 7 Installation

    Well, my package is due to arrive soon containing my brand-spanking new Windows 7 discs. Since I already have the RC installed on my system, will I have to do a wipe, install a previous version, then reinstall Windows 7?

    Or, can I simply plop the Windows 7 disc in and let it format and reinstall on its own?

    You'll have to wipe, the RC is unable to be upgraded.

    I'd just boot from the disc. But yeah, you can do it either way and it'll reboot for you.

    Well I'm fine with a wipe, I mean will I have to install Vista and XP again first before doing it, or can I simply just have Windows 7 wipe everything without reinstalling?

    Oh, sorry, misunderstood. No, you shouldn't have to install a previous version again. Just boot from it, let it format, and away you go.

    After running the windows 7 upgrade advisor it tells me that my current graphics adapter won't support the windows Aero interface. Although according to the ATI website it says that my card and driver are compatible to run it. Should I just ignore it and install it anyway?

    Upgrade Advisor told me the same thing. But I'm up and running with Windows 7 now and Aero is working just fine.

    Aero works on my laptop's 8400m gs, so anything recent should do fine.
