I'm having an issue with FFXI and the overlay text on two computers I upgraded from Vista to Windows 7.

The first computer is a Core 2 Quad Dell with an ATI Radeon 3870, and the 2nd is an HP laptop Core 2 Duo with some sort of ATI card in it (it's brand new.. HD radeon something or other)

Basically... on both computers, the overlay text is... wrong looking? That's the best way to describe it. Sometimes it's squished, sometimes it's thin, sometimes it has pieces of letters missing (like the dot in the i). It occurs on chat log text, menu text, play online viewer.. anywhere there is text.

I've tried changing the resolution and that doesn't help.

I used to have a Macbook running Vista and the same thing happened there with an NVidia mobile card.

Anyone else have this issue? It's just really an annoyance as long as it doesn't start doing the "still camera" issue the macbook had.. .where the camera was stuck on one point in the game and I could actually run off camera.
