Quick Sanity Check: Changing RAID Config
So I just got Windows 7 upgrade, and I currently have Vista installed. Now, a while back I was dicking around with RAID configs for the hell of it and currently have RAID-1 setup on my system. I'm wanting to change it to RAID-0, and I'm wanting to make sure I'm going about this the right way.
Right now, I'm thinking I have to:
1) Backup everything I want to keep
2) Format my HDDs and rebuild the RAID to 0 level
3) Re-install Vista
4) Upgrade to 7 (which will be clean install most likely)
5) Toss my old files back on
This sounds right to me, but I just wanted to make sure I'm not missing a step or two that could speed the process up.
Thanks.

Looks about right, though you shouldn't need to reinstall Vista. Just keep the install media and CD key handy during the Windows 7 install process.

Awesome, something like that (skipping Vista install) was what I was hoping for. I'll take a shot at that before I bother installing that POS again.
