This is why I like having a boat. In the middle of Lake Michigan ahoy!
Sure, could be found, but the lake is FKING H U G E liek xbox. Nobody's gonna figure out where exactly you dropped it in when its 500 feet down.
Stick it in a bucket of KFC and drop it in the hood closest to you. Niggers will tear it apart fighting for free food.

and then this with the pieces
spoilered for bignessSpoiler: show
Suspend the hard drive and thermite mix above a primed pile of C4 explosives, then just as the thermite begins to work it's way through the hard drive, detonate the C4, causing 2000ºc burning metal and hard drive pieces to go flying every which way, potentially maiming innocent passer bys and rare fauna.
Just use a power drill. It's faster than a six pass reformat and works just as well as any of the other options.
Correction you cock mongler, teasing with all the "not meant for public viewing" and not even giving any details to us, BG fellas. I'm dissapoint.
It's source code an unreleased binaries. Can't exactly turn that into a .jpeg of a nekkid chick or anything.
Could break it and toss the pieces in the middle of an ocean. They couldn't even find the black box of that french plane..
All these crazy suggestion, i'm curious as to why a regular hammer wouldn't work. Or even truck wheels? That would cost all of 5 dollars if you don't already have one.
Why do you nuke a planet from orbit?
It's the only way to be sure.
Break it and flush the tiny pieces in the toilet. If you ever get busted by the police, it will make an awesome story.
A 7+ pass drive eraser is the least labor intensive
A power drill is the fastest way
Dismantling the drive and breaking the platters by hand is more hands on satisfying
Dismantling the drive and boiling the platters is just fun (afaik if you boil them long enough they become totally malleable and you can make a neat little ball out of em)
Thermite is self explanatory
Microwave it. Or do your own personal version of Will it Blend?
Zeroing the drive once is enough to make it completely unrecoverable.
