So Just a recap...If we have 150k Point item, and 200k Point item, there is no reason to get the 50k point item? How bout the stall?

I did breaksynthing for gold from 72-77, and I saved so much time/gil etc it was unreal. I don't know how much of this stacked together, but I use Kitron/Artisans to my advantage and rode a stack of 12ea materials for 36ish synths each time. When you're talking expensive or hard to get items, that's a huge life saver.
I don't think there really is a reason to get the 50k item unless I'm reading wrong. The 150k and 50k are identical. My question is why does every wiki say 150K+200K+Stall = Mega Mog when I've got Mega Mog from 150k+stall and just stall. Does the bonus not actually apply without all 3? 2? or did I break the game.
Thanks for the info, yup at the eventual gold breaking, I actually setup my MH with moghancement fire and overwhelming fire energy and used no support and broke the shit out of hydro claws from 54>59. I've already leveled alch on the mule to 36 which should put me 15 from cuisses. As for the alchemy help you're dead on, I've been making/buying panacea and making my own platinum nuggets to spam the platinum ingot stage and it's really helped speed things up. I'll look into the gold nuggets didn't even think about that!
I'm almost to the 64 which means I need to make the decision of do I want to go the skillup route and make arrowheads, or try to mule 28347 platinum rings for skill ups in the 90s but use twice as many ingots...
I probably just have a bitter taste left from when I did breaksynthing. Had to use adaman ingots back when they were like 60-100k or something and it was just painful.
I have tests planned for the stall/50k item as soon as I can get enough GP for them. Keep getting screwed on items I need to turn in.
The only thing I've done since getting it is Cursed Mufflers which I went 1/18. If someone has a cheap synth for what 'should be' 107 Smithing/Leather or what 'should be' 105 Wood then I can test T1 rate. I can -2 skill in smithing/leather and -1 skill in wood for the test. Best I found was Cerb mantles, but that's not necessarily cheap.
I did arrowheads, it wasn't that bad really and you can npc them for some gil back. It's not much and I prefer not to do any cost math with gold so I don't cry. After that I bridged to 70 then bridged to 72 so I can skill on breaks. I also did Moghancement: Fire, forgot to mention it in my post. It seriously saved a ton of gil. If you average a 25% skill up rate, you're saving ~3.5m for those levels. Then prepare to shit tears when you actually have to use those gold ingots for bucklers to 80
I was thinking:
64-65 platinum earring (or skip this and arrowhead 64>70 with support, glasses + kitron)
65-70 platinum arrowhead (no support/glasses, just allow breaks for skill ups and recycling of materials)
70-72 Gold armet breaksynth
72-77 gold gauntlets breaksynth
77-80 will consist of finding out if/when support+glasses+kitron loses less gil on unskillable Elemental Bead breaks v. Gold Bucklers. 80>93 seems like gravy. I really want to determine phrygian (sp) ingot cap to see if I can abuse that as a bridge level around 80.
70-72 Gold armet breaksynth
72-77 gold gauntlets breaksynth
Yes.
Also you're not going to be able to skill on Beads reliably under 80. I've never not lost the Ore, so I assume it's 100% loss. You're talking about attempting it at 77, and that's just silly. You're better off eating the loss on Buckler to 80 and saving that Ore ahead of time (You're going to need a lot of them. Whatever you think you need, it's not enough by/1000) Seriously though, I've got 2 mules with 60 beads each, I've npcd 50 of them, and I'm 82.6.
Get the 50k item instead of the 150k item?
Is there an ideal point for skill ups and how do Skill+1 gear and Furniture enhancements affect this?
I've not lost elemental ores when breaking. Mind you this was a long time ago. Like god 5-6 years ago when I was on that stage but I'm pretty sure I'm remembering it right considering just how painfully losing ores was back then (beads selling for .5-1.5 mil and usually only being about 100k profit on each)
Maybe I just have bad luck
That would explain 4 skillups in 63 synths this morning
Generally accepted theory is there is no difference:
Skillup rates
Skillups occur on both main and subskills independently.
Skillups occur even if if your enhanced skill (natural + synth support + synth items) exceeds the cap.
For any craft above your natural craft skill below 50:
6 or farther from cap: somewhere between 66% and 75% chance to skill-up on a successful synth
5 or less from cap: somewhere between 66% and 75% chance to skill-up on any synth, broken or not
For any craft above your natural craft skill 50 or above:
6 or farther from cap: somewhere between 25% and 33% chance to skill-up on a successful synth
5 or less from cap: somewhere between 25% and 33% chance to skill-up on any synth, broken or not
Skillups on breaks will not occur if your natural skill is beyond 5 levels from the cap, even if your enhanced skill is within 5 of the cap.
Above 60, skillup increments are always 0.1.
Below 60, skillup increments can be 0.1 or 0.2.
If your natural skill is 6* or more below the recipe cap, skillup increments can also be 0.3.
If your natural skill is 12** or more below the recipe cap, skillup increments can also be 0.4
Depending on what +skill gear you have, you could start beads as low as 78 or 79 as long as you use support and kitron. 79+5 would put you only 3 under cap, kitron will take care of most of those breaks. Ores are dirt cheap nowadays anyway.
lol, well hit me up and if I'm not quadboxing some other shit I'll get you what I have, I want to save some for leveling later but if you want you can stockpile ore and I'll bead it for you as well. if I break I have plenty to replace with
(Sadly I have 100WW too but I'm just too lazy to make staves, I guess I should probably do that shit lol. Do you need any subs to T2?)
Just tell me if im figuring this out right or not:
I cannot attempt synth @ 64
I can attempt synth @ 65
Therefore synth cap is 80?
Yeah the cap would be 80 then.
Decided to post what I have so far, I plan on doing more synths to maybe get clearer results.
Alchemy 99
Synth: Holy Waters (skill cap 51, t3 102)
Mega-Moglification, stall only. No support, no +skill gear (I don't even own the furnishing yet)
213 synths
9 breaks
97 HQs
97/213 = 45.5% HQ rate.
I've never had a t2 rate even close to 45%, but I'm going to refrain from jumping the gun on saying its +3 til I hammer out a few hundred more synths.
