Could always start leveling your cloth sub and checking every couple levels while engaged with a monster from a distance. If it lets you attempt the synth you'll know you're then within 15. You won't lose mats.

Did just that. Got a CC and WW skill up off the synth @ 86 WW 21 CC I was able to start the synth and break it at 84 WW 12 CC.

It'd be really great if we could adjust crafting levels on the test server...would really help identifying subcraft levels and test artisan foods.

I just got Synergy to 70 yesterday and was looking to see what I could do to get to 80. I don't have any friends with a high level craft for stalls and I didn't see anything that doesn't need another craft involved. Am I just overlooking a recipe for just synergy to get to 80 or do you need another high level craft to get to 80?

You're pretty shit out of luck atleast from last time I looked. One of my mules was stuck at 70 until he was a veteran fisherman and I could buy the stall item.

I know next to nothing about FFXI crafting, so this is probably a dumb question, but how does synergy level effect the hq3 rate on augments? I was thinking about leveling synergy exclusively to augment god gear/abjs/and whatever else in the future, but I'm not sure how realistic that is to do cheaply.

How to skill up Synergy:

1) Get mats for 1x Mythril Nugget (you can use higher level nugget synths, but less time is lost from Overloads if you are closer to the level cap)
2) Get a bunch of Earth Fewell
3) Use a job that can Haste (RDM is nice for Composure)
4) Keep yourself Hasted and start the synth
5) Spam Feed Earth Fewell until you run out of time (and don't ever actually complete the synth)
6) Repeat until capped on recipe (or close to cap)

By using different nuggets (gold, platinum, etc) you can get up to level 70 synergy with this method. After that, it's best to get the mats for a guild stall and do the same thing until level 80 (intentionally failing the synth by just feeding fewell).

It's fairly mindless, but if you prefer a hands-off approach there are options out there to spam for you if you do a little google searching.

anyone noticed the catastrophic rise of adaman ingot price. one ingot was costing 10k before 2-3 months (when I was lvling up synth). Now 1 ingot has hit 50k. Adaman ores themselfs didnt raise x5 in price they still around 5k/ore. Whats the reason for this? oO Do some of the new synergy recipes use extensiv adaman ingot?

@fantasticdan: yes you can basicly skill up synergy to 70 with no other craft involved, for the cap tough you need some form of basic craft

No idea about recipe caps, but I do know P tatters don't sell for as much as most people think unless demand has risen recently. Before 95 update I watched a guy start 12ish P tatters at 250k each in his bazaar, then slowly, but surely drop to 75k each and I'm not even sure if they sold for that...

This is a legitimate question, especially with new synergy recipes...ffxiah.com comments are a good bet, bg wiki is probably the only wiki still updated with VW recipes. Otherwise just look at people selling the item you want to make, then stalk their AH history and figure it out. Then don't share it with anyone!!!!

It's actually kinda funny since the vast majority if not all the synergy recipes are released in the official update notes the day of the update... and often that is the only place to find them. So you can always try looking there

Anyone tried getting the GP item and attempt to synergize a stall for skillups? Assuming it will let you, but just seeking confirmation.

Nice catch, the individual BG wiki pages for mats or items tend to have recipes. While GE on the other hand seems to have a compiled list but less individual recipes lol. Together it may be fairly complete.

Works fine, I used stall on 2 chars to go 70>80 it's no different than any other skill spam synth, just don't successfully end...hell just don't end it at all.
