0/99 on HQing darksteel bolts with 60 WW skill. I'll do 99 more when there's another stack of drk boltheads up on AH.
no it's clearly the 90% moonphase and facing southwest
Quick question that I can't seem to find the answer for, I'm about to hit 73 smithing and am going to use darksteel subligar for a skillup from 73-74. I was wondering if I can still skill up on it if I'm using my Smithy's Torque and/or support to put my skill above the cap, and if I did would it be possible for an HQ to occur?
Yes, if you are at or above the cap for a synth (and all subcraft caps) you have a T0 chance of HQ. I haven't noticed it really dramatically affecting my skillup rates, and did Clothcraft up to 95 on Errant/Mahatma Hpls.
what food gives HQ+?

Allegedly being the key word.Allegedly provides moderate boost to the HQ rate of synthesis and reduces the materials lost from failed synthesis.
I just got 198 more Darksteel bolt heads, let the fun begin...
300+ darksteel bolt synths with 60 WW, 0 HQs so far.
Interesting. So it's either not possible or it could just be a ridiculously low amount (.1%?) which would mean a T-1 and a T-2
Sorry for the double post, but I've got a question.
What are these new non rare/ex furnishings that you can buy for 50k GP? I looked it up on wiki and it said that it gives moglification: craft, but does it really give +1 skill? If so, is there any point in getting the 150k gp furnishing when this is 1/3rd the cost?
In all the skilling up I've done I've only done it a few of times. And I've got 1 craft to 97 the rest 57 on my main. A mule with lvl 100 and 4 60 subs. And an alt with I think just 1 100 lol. Not counting synergy or fishing of course. So we are talking about 3-4 HQs in what would be at least 5k synths even if I averaged +.2 per synth. Given T0 is 1% I wouldn't be suprised that this would be like .1% or maybe lower
inc 100 more darksteel bolt synths!
0/500+
darksteel bolt synth (62) at capped 60 skill
When talking about HQ sub-cap level, are we including cases where the subcraft is above the cap level?
The lowest craft (or subcraft for that matter) determines the overall HQ rate. So you could be HQ3 on main craft, HQ1 on sub, thus the overall craft is a T1. Is that what you meant?
edit: if youre talking about the test I'm doing, I am at 60 skill, the craft cap is 62. I am not breaking the cap with any type of support, armor, or furniture.
To add to the t0 on skillup discussion...
I managed to HQ a muscle belt while skilling up goldsmithing. Was 90 at the time, just furnishing in MH, no gear or support (superstition back in the day, yada yada). I was exceptionally surprised to see it in the first place, and then completely flabbergasted when I got a second HQ about 5 synths later.
I had a ss at the time, because it was my first gear HQ, but I deleted it later because a muscle belt +1 isn't very exciting.
So no pic to provide proof, but another person in the "is possible" group.
