Isn't it possible that dalm caps at a level higher than 100? Just because it could be used to skill to 100 doesn't mean we can assume it caps at 100.
re: different fish levels
There is definitely one single Hakuryu that you catch with Minnows/Sinking Minnows. I call this Epic Catch Hakuryu.
As far as other fish, there are usually 2, one will NEVER give Keen Angler, the other will almost always (probably always).
Now, with that in mind, the next time I see the Keen Angler message for Haks, I will be sure to note if it's a different fish. If it is, that means that the other Hak (maybe other 1-2 Haks) don't bite Minnow/Sinking all that often. If the previous is true, some other baits may need to be tried. It changes nothing if you fish all day, but for capping out hella fast, having two fish bite commonly is better than one.
Hmmm if by epic catch Hak you mean that's the message you get I just got one that just said not enough skill and the very next one was epic lol. I need to pay attention to keen angler or just parse my logs some
Epic Catch fish has the You don't know/You're sure you don't/Epic Catch, that's the same fish.
Edit: While they could spawn with different levels on the same fish, I'd be more inclined to believe it's based on ID
Why can't it be both? I mean monsters you pull up with same ID have different lvls
Levels dont vary by ID, for mobs or fish
For the fishermans: can you fish up multiple trumpet shells at the same time? At lv0 with lushangs, would it worthwhile to fish these up? I'm looking for these to skill bonecraft but they are rare as hell now compared to years ago.
Roughly how difficult is it to get a Pelican ring these days?
Easy
That, and I don't know of any fish that has 4 ID's unless we're talking about something else entirely
The string data pulled when you hook something comes in the form #-#-#-#. Upon rereading (hereish), not sure what I said was actually correct. Fourth value can vary within the same fish depending on Discernment proc, but I don't know if the rest actually holds true. Too lazy to keep reading, info is spread out a bit.
Ah I get it now, I don't get values in that format.
There are 2 fish ID's (the normal fish, which can be Epic Catch, and then the Keen Angler fish).
There is a way to read their ID's as a string of 4, the Keen Angler fish having a variable as the 4th ID which most likely varies by skill level and as such makes it easier to reel in.
I don't know if that makes it a different level necessarily.
Has it been confirmed that the crafting belts that give support are +3 skill? Or are they just +1? And what's the duration again?
