Regarding synergy... for orichalcum bullets, when it says goldsmithing (journeyman) is required, does that mean my actual level can be 48 + broken cap, thus being journeyman? Or does the level have to be at least 50 or some kind of specific gold level?

Its somewhere there...When my GS Mule hit 88 gold, I uncapped her and tried to synergize a Thundersoul ring, but said her level wasnt sufficient. I only tried again at 93, and it worked.

Ya, I experienced the same thing with rings, I think I even tried at 91 and I could not synth one, so it's based on some exact level.

It's 92-94. You can attempt the synth with +1 from gear or support.

Might not help you much but I have GS 57 and I can make them and I'm pretty sure I was able to at 56 GS as well. So at least you know its not 60.

Just freshly hit gold50 on alch mule and was able to start making o.bullets. Just for all the alch peeps out there who don't wanna waste too much gil.

All you need for max MH leathercraft skill is the stall. You synergize the stall with a 20k (maybe 15k?) rare/ex emblem which you get from the guild point vending NPC. At that point you will have mega moglification Leathercraft which will be LC+5. Stack adv support + 2 armor pieces for 110 @ 100 natural skill.

ok complete foil hat question- are we noticing a higher HQ rate on the 100+ synths? I've hit 2/25 HQs so far. I understand its way too small- I've been crafting long enough to fall for that kind of crap- I'm just wondering out loud. I've been very concerned about new recipes constantly outdating these expensive synths as they become T1 etc.

Again, this is crazy talk.
