I'm pretty sure I got one or two 9s years ago, back when the level cap was 75, but can't be 100%.
Will see if I can find a SS of it, because I never had a reason to doubt the tiers back then.
Edit: Checked all my SSs that I could find and don't have one of it, so can't confirm it, sorry
to clothcrafters: any idea what the simian mane is used for (drop from meeble burrows lasts boss).
I think that's BC.
It's is in the clothcrafting mat on the AH anyway.
You're right; a quick search shows Simian horn as the BC item.
There was only one recipe added last patch as far as I can tell. It may not have a use yet. Every item except the dagger is Rare or Ex.
Thought the horn still needed verification...
I've decided to level alchemy out of boredom. Which KI's are worth getting, if any?
If you cap alchemy sub to 70 and get the torque you can craft them on your main! Obviously no HQs, though.
Just came back from long break. Did they add synthing skill up + food? Or is that a rumor?
They added Shaper's Shawl, an item that increases the rate of skillups.
They added Kitron Macaroon, an item that lowers your break rate and appears to reduce ingredient loss and may increase skillup rate.
They added other food like Coconut Rusk (and others with as yet unknown effects), which is rumored to increase HQ rate, but the community is split on a consensus.
Can anyone confirm the subcraft on Arhat's Jinpachi... currently 0/55ish on a +1 and I'm over 100 CC but only at 53 Smithing where everywhere is saying 42 smithing for a sub. Probably just a run of bad luck, but wanna check it out.
never crafted jinpachi's before my smithing sub was 60 (leveled my smithing sub up as I skilled clothcraft to do rasetsu samue to 99), but I do have a respectable HQ rate on them- one of my bread and butter synths. I do know that its not 42, because I've heard of many people doing what you did, get their smithing to 53 and start trying with similar numbers.
You're gonna want it high anyways- considering how rare darksteel chains are on my server, the ability to make (not HQ, but at least make) chains yourself is great. So getting it to 60 is a great idea. Being able to get adv support @55 to skill up on an item you'll use to make a synth is always nice (chains are lv.63).
So deciding to use up a bunch of my stored up ingredients skilling up on hexed jackets... first 1 yay. Next 9 nothing. Last 1 another skill up. Woot for spending like 50 mil and lots of hours ah camping for +.2 skillups... seriously hate all these people jacking up prices uggg. And stupid shawl needs to work better. Luckily it seems the NQs actually sell on a rare occasion
I'm very sorry that this is the wrong place, but i really didn't want to necrobump the march 2012 new recipe thread, but according to BG wiki and from what i've searched, lavalier doesn't have listed anything for it's synthesis, well i was dicking around at 73.9 leathercraft on leathercraft adv support npc and he gave me the recipe as a suggestion to make, so that must put it near 73 leathercraft? Don't know the skill level difference on recipes offered from npcs, but felt I should post this to help narrow down recipe levels, once again very sorry this is in wrong place.
EDIT: I saw there was alot of clothcraft sub reqs that were listed as unknown for some leathercraft recipes, so i decided to try and see what info I can help provide since my clothcraft is very low, I don't want to keep doing new posts, so i figured I would just edit post what recipe subs that I was able to attempt at what CC skill. I'm sorry if it's not the best of info since my CC was 25 when I decided to do this, but I figured it wouldn't hurt. The first recipe I tried was Stout Bonnet, which I fucked up and didn't do the engage method so i lost the mats as well as the crystal, but it allowed me to attempt it at 25 CC, when it's 95 LC and CC ??? listed atm, so it's definitely either equal to or less then 40 CC if the highest difference you can do a recipe is 15 like BG wiki says. I'm also sorry that i'm posting this in RCT, but I can't seem to find any thread that this would be appropriate in without necrobumping it.
EDIT 2: I attempted to see if I could help narrow down CC reqs on bison wristbands (was only the cheapest one I could find that if I broke it wouldn't matter) and out of 7 synths I had no breaks and no skillups to CC, at 25 CC with no support or food, which leads me to think it's CC could be less then or equal to 25, but then again it's just 7 synths so not much data, but it's definitely in the 20-30 range at the least.
That topic was last posted in like two weeks ago, you're fine to post there.
