The hint is always the "between xx and xx" type, and is always a large gap. That is why you use the tool right away.
Yeah tools make opening it alot eaiser.
It's a casket drop, so it's the same as any other one- no mob is going to have better odds, it's merely a matter of how fast you can plow through them. Enkidu, gives you something to melt together waiting for respawns and even if the torque doesn't drop (which if it was anything like the folks I helped with a Fisher's Torque, it'll be winning the lottery). Crank up your prowesses, if you've got a friend/2box with a Thief that can feed a casket a Thief's Tool to make it easier to guess the combination bring em along too, and just keep popping those caskets as they show up. It took the last torque I helped farm multiple days to get...and there's no easy mode. Sorry.
We had multiple people doing it together- one guy who'd keep killing and have the prowesses maxed for casket drops, and someone else to keep carting away the excess inventory of everything else, plus a few alts sitting around just soaking up exp on random jobs from the pages. For three+ days straight.
Torques can suck to get. I got a mule from ~7 to 60 with leaving for Limit Breaks and got one fishing torque out of it. Went back to do ~5-30 in the same zone, got torque on first brown box I opened with no casket kupowers... Random is random, but just cranking through mobs as fast as possible with casket discovery up if possible is the only way.
Casket Discovery doesn't work in Ve'Lugannon Palace so it's a moot point for Alchemist's Torque. Set aside a lot of time to be frustrated. I spent over a day and a half straight working on it with capped prowess before I gave up for the time being. Bone and Leather torques, with casket discovery, were much easier.
Yeah zones with lower lvl mobs are alot easier since you can just gather an kill dozens rq lol
I actually find the higher level enemies in those zones to have significantly higher casket rates, but maybe that's just me.
They might but the rate of AOEing killing speed more than makes up for it
Does having overwhelming (insert element here) energy effect crafting in any way? Just finished my weavers stall and was wondering if there was any point.
At one point I had over 101 earth energy in my clothcraft mule's mog house, never noticed a a difference from eye balling it. However....................................
I did go 4/43 HQ skilling up off errant body with that set up back in the day (Glasses, smock, 150k guild point item, synth support, nothing else. This was before the synergy stall, so I would have had +6 in support at the time). Please keep in mind that I never saw a HQ in the 56 synths it took me to go 99 > 100 though.
I don't believe it has an effect, and I no longer have that set up on the mule.
iirc I think it might effect loss rate when you broke. But the almost 100% loss items still always break and such
My cooking is 100 (Don't have the KI to get it past 100), Cooking Katana, Cooking Apron & Cooking Hat. With HQ support will I be able to hit 25% HQ rate on a lvl 79 synth?
